How Do You Become A Great Manager?

How do you become a great manager? Well my fellow Vibers the answer is simple and it's to know your limitations. Look around at the world of football and you'll see every manager has some flaws in their armour and they get around these issues by bringing in people who can cover areas in which they struggle. No manager runs everything by themselves as they have various staff members who work for them including assistants, specialists in certain areas (defensive coach etc), a medical team, scouts and some clubs have directors of football and all of this is to aid the manager in his duties.

Regardless of your views on the subject FMH doesn't currently allow you to select staff and the options open to you in game are fairly limited as your assistant manager does hardly anything and your scouts are next to useless. So what's the point in this article? The answer is simple once again as FMHVibe can help you overcome these limitations.

Tactical limitations seem to be a common issue among the community as we receive countless questions surrounding this aspect of the game. Thankfully the tactics forum is one of the busiest on the site so if you're having issues within this area it's easy to browse the forums to find a tactic which will improve your game. It's fair to say some managers are too stubborn to use something created by another manager but the information is readily available and it's a great way to find your feet while gaining the experience to learn how to create your own masterpiece. If you've got an imagination just pretend the owner of your club has brought in the creator of the tactic as your clubs tactician. I'd say almost everyone here suffers with an acceptance more than an limitation when it comes to training routines as Dec's intensive training has become the universal choice and for good reason, I bet there aren't many managers out there who haven't got Dec as the coach running the teams training sessions. Thankfully the options are limited so you'll never need to spend too much time trying to come up with something new but on the off chance you do the training experts of Vibe have a solution for almost every problem.

Another common limitation is the ability to find that hidden gem who'll transform your team into one that can dominate. With the in game scouts being useless and the options available being close to endless finding that right player can be a right pain, especially if you're not willing to put the time in to find the perfect player by yourself. The game does offer a fantastic stat searching feature which can be a great way to find players but even searching this way doesn't mean you'll uncover the next Messi as stats don't guarantee results. Once again the community at FMHVibe can be your knights in shinning armour as the Iscout forum is a fantastic place to research players while being able to see their attributes, stats, buying price and performances in a matter of seconds. The scout reports in game show you a few stars ranked by a flawed system but the scouts at Vibe deliver the full package so you can make a truly informed decision on who to add to your squad.

In short to become a great manager you need to learn your limitations and use Vibe to overcome them, by outsourcing areas you struggle with to an article, guide, thread or fellow member you're not failing yourself you're accepting you need help which is something any truly great manager can admit to. Over time you'll become an experienced manager and I'm sure you'll one day be able to handle every aspect of the game by yourself but in the early days or in times of struggle Vibe is your friend and even the greats need that helping hand from time to time.

Wonderful work, and I have to say that I am one of those stubborn managers that doesn't like using other people's tactics (except Dec's training :P).

I'm the same as I only use my own creations, however if I'm trying to create something for a specific reason I'll always speak to my friends on the site as talking through ideas is a great way to get things working :).
