Introduction to the Editor

The editor is a simple tool to use once you have got your head around it. On the current editor you can only edit players and managers.

An important thing to remember is that you don't put it on your PSP, you need to create it on your PC/Mac and then put the result onto your PSP.

Simple rules

A few simple rules are needed to the editor, you cannot change positions/nationalities and you have to overwrite players/clubs to create new ones.

However, the most important is that if you are editing a club you must edit the name AFTER you make the changes (e.g. Ronaldo to Sporting FMH - whom overwrites Chelsea means he has to transfer to Chelsea then you can change the club name).

Starting the Editor

Firstly, download the editor and then WinRar (if you don’t have WinRar you need it), once you have downloaded and installed the program you don't need to do it again as the trial never runs out.

To get the folder just right click on the .rar file and select "Extract Here" or "Extract to (file name)", now you have your folders.

Open the folder up to get fmhe.exe (will vary on Mac), this is the editor.

Basics

Now you should be on a screen which has load/save etc... at the top, if you look at the top right hand corner you will see nations. Clicking on it shall bring a list up, just select the nation the player currently plays in or where the club is based.

Clicking on player will lead you onto a list and so will club, clicking on the column headers will order it descending and re clicking will make it ascending.

Player editing

To find a player just search him in the bar and he shall come up, click on him to edit him.

Now you have the option to edit First name, common name, second name, Current club, Current ability, Potential ability and Date of birth.

The first four are simple to do and don't require any help with as all it requires is changing.

However Current and Potential ability are limited to the maximum of 200 and Date of birth is also limited to 1994 and above.

If you want a player to be on a free transfer then enter "free" into his club.

Club editing

The same format with players with all but, reputation unlimited. Reputation is max 10,000.

However, you cannot change Fiorentina into Liga BBVA, leagues must be in the same country.

Saving

Clicking save will bring you into the menu, filter your way through it till you get to your PSP drive, in that select these folders: PSP > COMMON > FMH2010. If you don't have one create it!

Save the file as changes and you can now exit the editor and click "yes".

Editing files at a later date

To edit a file at a later date is hard as the editor is bugged meaning half the changes won't go through. Just simply open your old changes up and save the new changes as a different name (e.g. "iPhone"), now open that up and paste the contents of it at the bottom of the old one.

Using a txt file to create changes

You can also not use the editor but instead use codes to do changes.txts, these codes can also do manager and competition changes, these codes can be ignored by a # in front of the code but also if you don't want to change one you can leave it blank (""). Codes aren't capital proof so it reads any case.

Player changes:

To do player changes is pretty simple to follow, if you want to make the player a free agent the new club should read "free".

"PLAYER" "First name" "Surname" "Club" "New first name" "New second name" "Common name (e.g. Nani) "Year of birth" "New CA" "New PA" "New club"

For example,

"PLAYER" "John" "Terry" "Chelsea" "Terry" "" "" "" "200" "200" "free"

This would make John Terry called Terry Terry with a 200 CA and 200 PA but also a free agent.

Manager changes:

Manager changes are very much like player changes, however the code is as follows.

"MANAGER" "First name" "Surname" "Club" "New first name" "New surname" "Year of birth" "New CA" "New PA" "New club"

For example,

"MANAGER" "Alan" "Pardew" "Southampton" "" "Stone" "1950" "" ""

This would change Alan Pardew's year of birth to 1950 and make his last name Stone.

Club changes:

Club changes follow the rules in the editor, however the code is a lot different to the others.

"CLUB" "Full club name" "Nation" "New club name" New short name" "Reputation" "New league"

For example,

"CLUB" "St. Pat's Athletic A" "Republic of Ireland" "Cork City Foras Co-op" "Cork City" "4300" ""

Would make St Pat's Atheletic called Cork City Foras Co-Op with a short name of Cork City and a 4300 reputation.

Competition changes:

The competition changes only changes competition names however is good to get rid of those pesky licenses.

"COMPETITION" "Full name" "New name" "New short name" "Abbreviation"

For example,

"COMPETITION" "English League Cup" "Mickey Mouse Cup" "" "MM"

This would change the English League Cup's full name to the Mickey Mouse cup and the abbreviation to MM.

Other information

Nationalities or postitions can not be changed.

You cannot cancel loans unless moving to the loaned club.

You can't have more than one changes on your PSP.

A changes won't effect your saved games.

Lastly

You can do many things on the editor whether it be transfers, creating a World XI or adding yourself in. It can often extend your game-life on FMH and can be enjoyable but, also may help you do certain things on FMH you never thought of or found.

I hope you enjoyed this guide and I would love to hear your feedback.

If you have any questions just ask but, if you create any files of interest please feel free to post them up so we can enjoy them too.

Thanks and Merry Christmas,

Dec.
