taff i am surprised - this is really a good tactic for a team like Southampton - there seems to be a really good balance in the tactic.

two VERY good factors from playing with the tactic

i was undefeated since november in the league AND my reserves went all the way in Europe - i did NOT expect that. So once again Taffman - you have done it!

Yeah I'm running my second season with Swansea with the altered tactic

its working very well loss to Chelsea, man city and Arsenal early on and a few other losses too the likes of Newcastle and Stoke but all in all very good.

my AP does score a lot more this way. WM still getting the average 7 rating but my IF and W got the same so it's worth it to make the tactic more stable

I'm having luck with this tactic now too. It is close to a blend between the 3232 original tactic and the very beast tactic with the dm dropped back to cd.

Ok second season done and here's how we got on.

Won the league and FA cup lost out on euro champions cup in the final.

Got some good wins and some annoying losses (anyone who read my thread last year know how much Newcastle are the Bain of my managers life)

however I love Lucas Pratto (most goals and assists, don't see that too often)

Very pleased with the balance now, and my AP seems to get into the game more (especially is Pratto is playing there)

AndersJ thanks for sticking with me again but I think the credit has to go to brenty92 for the tactical suggestion of moving my IF/W too the WM role.

Keyser_soze I couldn't agree more about this now being a nice mix of the two tactics. I've seen that plenty of people are having great success with "the very beast tactic" as well as my own.

Hope everyone enjoys using it and I can't wait to see how HotspurAI gets on with Bayern

Taff - what works Best for you - the tactic with TM og the one with the af instead?

and does it make a visible difference to switch the bbm and cm around as seen since your originallly tactic :)?

I do think having an AF instead of an TM works better, simply because there seem to be a limited number of good TM's availiable.

As for the CM/BBM moving i hadnt really noticed i usually put the BBM behind the TM in the origional tactic but until you pointed it out i'd forgotten about it, but i am running a my second season with Swansea again using the original tactic (AF instead of TM) just to see if i can have a similarly good season with the same team as before. i'll move the CM/BBM around to see if it does help as both had avg 7 ratings in the season i recently completed.

I'll let you know.

By the way how did you get on with your tactic after? i know i completed a good season using it.

AndersJ i dont know whats up this seaspn but im having some bad runs of form L Pratto has been incredibly hit and miss so far scoring a hat trick one game then going three games on a 6 rating

Taff me too! Jay R scored 31 last season and this season goals are mostly comming from anyone else than him :)?

btw Brenty and Taff - if you are looking to draw an there is about 20 mins left do you then change style of play - i sometimes succeed with switching to attacking, direct and commited. Do you have other advice :)?

I wondered about changing the team tactics but like I've said before I'm no tactician but I might run a few games with the alterations you've made and try it on the original and altered formations see how we get on

Well season done using the slightly altered original formation (AF instead of TM) but using the altered team tactic

Attacking, Direct and Committed and i have had around about the same success (won the league, community shield, world club championship and the euro champions cup/ lost out to Real in the euro super cup and Chelsea in the FA cup final)

the one main difference is the goals, i seem to be knocking them in left right and centre most games (don't get me wrong still some annoying losses to Newcastle and small wins but also huge wins against the likes of Real, Man City and the such. Plus my IF and Midfielder got in on the action a lot more.

So I'll try these instructions with the wide midfielder but i think this is the tactic I'm going to be sticking with from now on.

Ok so here's the screen shots I promised first here's the tactic and instructions I used incase the posts are confusing (moved IF to the right as Yarmenlenko prefers the right)

So slightly altered original tactic but the instructions have changed.

and this is how the season went (note I didn't start with new instructions till the first Man U game and I think any changes take a few games to work)

so all in all pretty happy see how you guys do

Taff - have you tried it in other Leagues than the Premier league :)?

im really confused with the tactic - some wins and a whole lot of loses.

to defend the tactic the team is CRAP :)!

I don't think 4th is too bad for a crap team, I haven't tried this anywhere else I'm actually thinking of using a Leauge 2 team and seeing if I can get them up. But I'm useless I get bored and give up but I think I'll give it a go with some variation of the tactic (I'm thinking the recently completed version)

That's a good start to your next season.

I'm currently running a save with Newport Co (thought I'd stick with the welsh boys)

using the WM version of the tactic and the attacking, direct committed instructions, currently not to bad, have beaten two higher teams in the capital one cup (Millwall and Fulham) so lets see how we do.

I ran a test season at Napoli. Pretty good season; quite a few draws early on but some good runs saw me take second in the league. Crashed out of Europe to Spurs, also had to sell a couple early on and brought in Ba and Vucinic to replace Hamsik and insigne who were outgoing.

Here we are finished my season with Newport Co in league 2 using the WM formation and attacking instructions, here's how we got on

forgot to get a screen shot of the league table sorry but finished 3rd and got automatic promotion to league 1, but here's some team stats and awards

and here is a show of strength (ok we lost but we came back from 4-0 down not bad for a 3 league gap)

now in league 1 but due to better rated teams I've changed to my more attacking formation and after 15 games sat 3rd in the league. Let's hope we can carry on up the ladder.

WM WM version. I'm also still using the balanced mixed version too. I noticed when I switch one WM to W I get a lot more shots on goal from them but if I go away to zero WM it becomes very very leaky at the back

Well my second season went okish, did well until the last month of the season up in the play-off places but then a bad run saw me drop to 11th in the league.

not to bad for a newly promoted side but i'm hoping to do better this year.

I stuck with the attacking version of the formation and will be again this time (if no joy I'll switch back to the WM version and maybe use a W as suggested by Keyser

Well season 3 with Newport co and it's gone excellent

i started off using the more attacking IF/W formation but after the usual good start and November slump I switched to the WM tactic with original instructions (I did switch to the attacking tactic in some games if losing)

like I said mixed season but end result was great

very pleased with 2nd place (would have won it if not for this 92nd minute equaliser in the final game of season

Now bring on the championship and hopefully avoiding relegation.

Ok guys and here we are again. Now after a really bad start using the attacking and balanced formation i decided to move back to my original formation, which led to better results but still not brilliant, however after reading the topic on IF by @stefanusgoldi i decided to alter my original tactic slighty to great succes.

Here is the altered tactic

Now simply moving around my attacking midfield three it seemed to improve the team altogether

here's the results

as you can see changing to this formation in November increased our results, still a few draws and losses but i think that's the norm (no tactic is undefetable) and we'll as you can see i won in the Championship playoff games and let to Newport Co now being a Premiership team.
