It's hard to say at the moment. Having a B Team means plenty of 'youth' (regens) are promoted each season to fill the spaces left by those that leave. With Superb training facilities, 5 Gold coaches (included me obviously), plenty of second division action with the B Team and modified IT, all my reserve players are developed nicely with greens everywher. I will post up a few later, not regens just average B Teamers who have flourished with Cup games, loans and B Team action. I haven't had to use a regen yet but they are all 16/17 year olds with lowish value (£1m and under) no 21 year old £5m player who are developed already. There are 3 players who can play on the wing or up front with high pace that could be CR7. Time will tell because as you say, I will need them soon.

Slightly better season for our man this term but I can definitely rule out a 1k attempt. This was the 90 minute challenge so lets crack on.

Season 7

Short update this one as there is very little to report.

Just the two different minutes hit this year, minutes 37 and 90.

Our man ground to a bit of a halt and only scored 15 goals by Christmas. The bloody AI was using what I consider it's cheat tactics the 4411 and 451 formations are incredible when played by the AI. Random players played in strange positions overpower what is realistic. I have tried to keep positive throughout this save because otherwise I will stop playing again completely but it is hard. I could have taken about 25 screnshots of dodgy AI play but this was by far the best.

The guy that interest us here is Wallyson. Yes that's right this tough tackling defensive midfielder had got a 10. Nothing strange about that though. Oh wait, he is being played as an Advanced Play maker. Ok, a little strange. Well perhaps the AI used him in that role so he would play high up the pitch and tackle my CM and BWM when they drop deep. I'm sure Passing 8, creativity 4 and Shooting 7 wouldn't actually be used in an attacking role. He couldn't have affected the game going forward.

The game's a joke SI.

 

Anyway I had to constantly change tactics and I mean constantly, 3 or 4 times a game to get past these 451's and 4411's. There's no patteren. Even though every team in the league uses these 2 identical formations and instructions regardless of their players what works in one game is crap in the next. Sometimes short passing and balanced play rips teams apart and then it's awful against the same formation, instructions and quality of opponent. Then Direct and attacking works. It's almost like a difficulty setting where you have to work out which combination will work today.

 

 

So much time invested just to get a mediocre result at the end of the season.

Jovic rarely plays the whole game so I need to play this strategically. I might just use him as a sub coming on at half time as all the minutes remaining are 46 mins onwards.

Season 8

 

A quick look at Mr Jovic  before focusing on some other areas of this career so far.

 

I got lucky playing a non league team in the cup and Luka netted 7 against them. Also drew Varzim  in the semis, a Prem team but very week meaning I won 12-1 on aggregate with Jovic getting 5 in total. Those cup games turned an average season into an acceptable one.

 

Minutes achieved this year 46, 63 and 74. So relieved to have hit the 46th minute as it has been as tricky as minute 1. Jovic appears to be a slow starter at the beginning of matches and after half time. He has hit minute 1 and minute 46 one time each. Compare that to minute 56 which he has hit an incredible 10 times!

FUN

Here is a little light relief from a quite stressful challenge. This is what happens when you don't sign a single player and have a takeover at the end of season 3.

 

Yes that does say £1.23 Billion. At the end of each season I adjust budgets into wages before clicking new season. Without doing that the board take money away from me.

Look at it another way

£25 million a week for wages anyone....

 

 

 

Team (Time to say goodbye to some old faces)

My decision to not sign anyone during this challenge meant I had to rely on players that I might not have used very much apart from the first season or 2. Both these players were key to everything the team has achieved and both will be missed. I could have got another year out of them but I have B Team players in the mid to late 20's that will be important for me in future seasons and I really need to give them maximum game time to complete their development.

A solid player who never let me down. I could always rely on him in the big games.

An absolute beast of a man. His stats never did him justice. His performances were on another planet. Fejsa was the only Def Mid in my first team at the beginning and if I could have signed players then I would have picked up a first choice BWM. So glad I didn't as I never would have had the journey with this beautiful man. He picks up yellows for fun but eats AMC's for breakfast. I highly recommend using this guy. Goodbye old friend.....

 

The next player is still in my squad and has another year left on his contract but he won't feature apart from the very odd cup match. Injury prone now and he can't play 2 games in a row without being out for months. He gave me 5 or 6 wonderful seasons though.

Season 9

Lets remind of ourselves of the minutes that are left before this challenge can end. 68 & 77.

A tough season which saw Luca Jovic lose his starting place, instead the striker had to make do with coming on as sub at half time in an attempt to hit the late minutes that were needed.

That change of tactic didn't harm the team.

 

Team bla bla bla. This is an individual challenge so, did Jovic find those last two minutes?

No, but he did find one of them

Boom minute 68 achieved

 

A whole season just for one minute! No one said this was going to be easy. Who knows how many more seasons it will take to get that last pesky 77th minute.........

Finished and just in time as even my young B Team players are getting too old and I would have to move on to regens in another season or two. A couple of African players have already appeared in the B Team. I never did get my Keeper Rui Patricio regen that I wanted/needed.

I'm not going to lie, I was disappointed that the 1k was never really an option. My Jovic never really had the ability to do it given my choice not to sign anyone. If I surrounded him with world class players I think he would have got close. 

I was going to do a final post showing some extra detail in certain areas but then that would have meant closure and an end to things. 

I don't think I'm quite done with this save yet..............

The game is a joke. How many hundreds of bugs does there need to be before you invest proper time and money into sorting it properly instead of releasing new money spinning versions and leaving the work experience boy and tea lady to work on FMM. There must still be some older guys there who delivered brilliance for almost 20 years. They must cringe with every release of a sub standard poor excuse for a game. Are fresh faced teens more important than real fans? Surely each customer is just as important but this money making machine is happy to lose hundreds of real franchise fans in exchange for thousands of new customers that may stick around for a season or two. You only have to look at Vibe as a community to understand that older faithful members/customers are being driven away. @Ashez is just the latest in a long line of people who can not go on.

One save, just one bloody save that's all I wanted for my £7 and you couldn't even give me that. BWMs playing as APM scoring hat-tricks and EVERY team playing the same 2 formations has made this painful but I completed the challenge I set out to do. I wanted more though and that 'more' was in the shape of a 1k challenge that presented itself when a CR7 regen appeared in my team. 
You had to even screw that up didn't you SI.

 

 

Going along like this, things shouldn't be a problem even if he is a bit older because I left him out of the team so Jovic could do his business. 

No, that's not good enough, lets stuff this up and spoil some more fun.

Every January he stops scoring. I don't mean he slows down, I mean he completely stops. Why I hear you ask.

 

 

Why would someone stop scoring for 15 games every January and repeatedly be 'struggling to settle' even though he has been here for 7 years????

I will tell you why.

It's because the game thinks he hops on a plane to Argentina every January and plays a dozen games. First season for Hurricanes and now every year at Boca.

 

An absolute joke. If you want the save, you can fetch it out the bin where it belongs.

I can't be the only one that sees a bug ridden unplayable game. I'm staggered how people can play this, they must be so blinkered to what is happening in the game. As long as they are winning and buying superstars everything in the background is ignored.

I believe that we have a fix for this particular problem, but to confirm that it's the same issue we would need to see the save itself. If you could fetch it out of the bin and send it to help@sega.co.uk and ask them to forward it to Alari it would help a lot. This is a very uncommon occurrence so a save would be helpful, thanks.

Sometimes a simple sorry would mean so much. I'll take a punt on this save taking roughly 25 hours and it's now destroyed due a bug. That's heartbreaking. A leg break or early retirement is just unlucky and somewhat stomach able but to be screwed of basically a day of your life due to a bug bloody kills.

I too got some good performances out of the three players you mentioned. Fejsa got 30 yellows one season ?
