Fulham in Europe Challenge

After finishing 7th in the Premier League in 2008/09, Fulham earned the right to compete in the inaugural Europa League season. Their European journey was longer than anyone predicted with Fulham reaching the final of the Europa League only to be defeated 2-1 by Atletico Madrid. This run was in no small part down to the goal scoring exploits of Bobby Zamora who scored eight goals in only 17 appearances.

The Challenge

Start with Fulham

Earn European qualification within two seasons

Sign an English striker to replicate Zamora's scoring in Europe. ( 8 goals)

Reach the final of the European competition you entered.

Try go one better than Fulham and win the European completion you entered.

Hardmode (Optional)

Same rules as above but you must qualify for Europe the same way Fulham did (7th place) .

Rules

All regular rules, (no editors, reloading or use of my club or edited databases).

Own formations only.

European qualification can be achieved from either Cup success or league position.

This challenge does not require you to be in the premier league but it does make it easier.

Your chosen player's goals are the only goals that count towards beating Zamora's total.

Your chosen player only needs to be signed before your European campaign.

Scoring

Due to the multiple different ways this challenge can be completed a points system shall be used.

Champions League Final= 3 points.

Champions League Win= 5 points.

Europa League Final= 4 points.

Europa League Win= 6 points.

(The Europa League is worth more points due to being the inspiration for this challenge).

Achieving Zamora's goal total in Europe with your chosen player= 8 points.

Every goal scored in Europe by your chosen player above Zamora's total= 2 points per goal.

Nice challenge. Does qualifying for the champions league then dropping to Europa still count? and do the goals from both competitions count in that case?

I'll allow it due to the open ended nature of the challenge as you are still meeting the criteria for the challenge
