Help No alert over rivals bidding

So in all previous versions of FMM when you had a player shortlisted or recently scouted you would be alerted that a bid had been made for them. This gave you a chance to counter it and sign the player. 

Suddenly this has gone and now players seem to be sold without any notice and often for much cheaper than I had bid.

anyone else noticed this?

Nice one! It definitely needs sorting. 

Transfers in general are better than last year, quicker to get deals done instead of wasting days waiting for decisions.

I had it happen to me yesterday, so I'm going to say not yet...

I had this problem I went into preferences then view..starting configuration...and changed news filter to global mine was on club and this worked for me

To add to this...

I'm seeing when other clubs bid for players on my shortlist, however there's no action I can take that'll prevent the player from going to that club unless their bid is unsatisfactory.

For example: Grimsby Town (same division as me) bid on a Concord player on my shortlist, they bid to get him on a free however as soon as I saw this I bid £5k (hoping to trigger a bidding war and stall Grimsby's progress). However by the time my bid 'went through' it was already too late. It's happened multiple times where the AI will reject my higher offer or the bid won't register in time to stop the shortlisted player from joining another club.

Surely if you're interested in a player you should get the right to match another club's offer? Seems redundant having a shortlist if you can't do anything about players on there the second another club comes in for them.
