Tactics Derby County Tactic help

Need help with my tactic. This tactic worked last season but not this season as im drawing to many games and not defending well at all

Try going Attacking - Direct with your striker as Adv.Forward. (or a Treq)

Test Pressing+Off Side T as well.

Away FB's instead of WB's and Balanced - Short with CF up front. 

If nothing works have a close look at the quality of your players. Hope you get some results.

Tried this out and it worked untill december do I just change the formation or or make tweeks to it role wise?

If you're familiar with what each player role requires of a player (attribute-wise) best thing would be to get more suitable players for those roles than you currently have.

If there's insufficient funds available wait for summer to hit the market. Until then I'd keep the formation and tweak things a bit (changing to new formations you're not accustomed to mid-season is risky) and look for underperforming players. Preferrably give a sub a chance otherwise assign a new role.

Also, just can't say it often enough, make sure all 11 are fit enough (at least 90%) before each game.

I won the league with derby in yr1 with only 1 signing. Move the dmc to cm or even Amc depending on the opposition. I played attacking sometimes pressing or counter depending on the opposition. HUGHES should be a ball playing role in the middle. Then u need a bwm next to him (thorne) and box to box mid the other side of him. Yes I used AF upfront and also liked to have one of the wide players as a winger

screenshOt i just made but my team has changed a lot for premier league. I've been trying different tactics too. 4411 and 451 but things haven't been going very well season 2. 

I can't stress enough u have to modify tactics based on opposition. If they press then you should counter. If they have an Amc you may want to move Hughes back to dmc. If they have lots central players go flanks etc

Great to hear you won the league.

Going up a division you know you'll face higher quality opposition so don't just look at the tactics but make also sure you inject a few quality signings in the squad or it simply won't hold up no matter what formation you use.

Yea I almost won the league with another tactic I had, ended up finishing 4th though as teams broke me down

I changed to this with 7 games to go but I still finished 7th because of the poor form during the season.
