Chat Back ground leagues?

Can anyone tell me, does it make a difference if you have one two or three other leagues running in back ground? does it slow the game play down, do you lose some of your players, if in England can you sign different players? I always just do one main league and no others. thanks

It slows the game down a bit and yes you would loose some players because teams in the other leagues need to have enough players

It slows the game down in the sense that it needs to simulate more match results. I just want to make that clear because the implication is that the game lags in general due to a large database and that has not been my experience.

If I change jobs to a team in a background league, will it load all lower divisions at that point?
