Steven Bergwijn was a scholar at Ajax Amsterdam as a child, but he made his decision to move out and join its main rivals, PSV Eindhoven, at the age of 13. His career there developed very well and his last few months were amazing. He formed a great trio with Kenneth Paal and Dani van der Moot in the youth teams. His great games were rewarded with a call-up to the U-17 team for the U-17 Euros in Malta, where Steven showcased his talent by scoring 2 goals and making 2 assists. He was definitely one of the most impressive players of the tournament in which he earned a runners-up medal.

He's one of very few players you post who I recognise, I remember him from the u17's. He really stood out and definitely has a future in him if he can keep a level head. Nice work again Dr :P

Andrej Modic and his younger brother Mihael started their careers in Kotor Varos, where AC Milan scouted them while they played in a local youth tournament. Youngsters managed to impress “Rossoneri” scouts and soon after they signed to the famed AC Milan Academy, which has produced players such as Baresi, Maldini, Albertini and Costacurta. Andrej impressed many observers, including former ACM coach Massimiliano Allegri, which gave the youngster a chance to play with the first team during the friendly against Chiasso arranged for Kaka’s return before the season. He has been a very good player in prestigious Viareggio Cup 2014, in which Milan won the whole tournament and Andrej played the full 120 minutes in the final with Anderlecht showing great technical and playmaking skills.

Place of birth: Netherlands

Height: 1,73m

Youth career: Feyenoord Rotterdam

Senior career: Feyenoord Rotterdam

Squad number: —

Current national team: Netherlands U-17

Position: central defender, left back

Preferred foot: left

Market value (by transfermarkt.de): —

Contract until: 30.06.2017

Player’s agent: Muy Manero

Similar type of player: Thomas Vermaelen

Calvin Verdonk comes from the Feyenoord Rotterdam academy, known as one of the best in the world. Despite his relative lack of height, he is a wonderful centre-back, making up for his physique with a great leap and speed. He is known to be good with the ball at his feet, great shot from distance and very good set pieces, including penalties. Thanks to these attributes confirmed by great games in the youth Feyenoord teams, he went to UEFA Under-17 Championship 2014 in Malta, where he formed a great partnership with Keziah Veendorp, and scored 3 goals, which is a fantastic return for a defender.
