2013 A Game At A Time-A Career In Spain

So I am starting a career with Real Madrid, probably because I like them, and I had one successful save with them(15 years in, I had won a few things, then moved to Atlético and won).

I haven't finished my rangers career because I had to overwrite it for Challenge Cup.

My aim is to have success, and maybe finish 30 seasons? Or another challenge I will reveal later.

January 2013 update

We have been doing terrible in the league, constantly beating good teams like Barca and Valencia, but losing to relegation threatened teams.

We easily advanced through the group stages, and will face zenit in the Round of 16.

We beat Barca in the Spanish Cup 4th round, and are now into the quarters

Marcelo won the WPOTY after an excellent few months as left wingback. He responded by getting injured the same day...

Transfers-

Sime Vrisakjlo, Mats Hummels, David Alaba, and Marc Andre Ter Stegen came in in August, while Lucas Ocampos joined the club in January

Overall, not a good start to my career. Barca already look too hard to overtake

Before I suggest anything, are you using Mixed or Direct Passing?

Try change the DLM to BWM as you play BPD behind him

I would suggest scrapping the BPD for a CTR and changing one of your APMs for a BBM. Right now you only have one player getting on the end of all the crosses from your Wingers but with a BBM you would then have two!

An amazing comeback (credit to MM96) saw us top of the league with a game to go

We were down to 2nd, but I was still confident

But we couldn't break the deadlock, even after a red card, and Barca were the champions. Almost pulled off a historical comeback

The Spanish Player of the Year was announced, and it went to Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo, with Karim Benzema the runner up.

And the Young Player of the Year went to David Alaba, with Lucas Ocampos the runner up

Manager of the Year went to Tito Vilanova, with me as the runner up

Update for January 2014

Transfers

I signed Bale only after Messi rejecting my contract offer, and I also signed Jack Wilshere.

The Holland and France jobs opened up, but I was rejected.

Unfortunately, Alonso won't sign a new contract.

2013/2014 End of Season Update

Spanish Cup

We easily progressed to the Quarter Final, and would face Athletic

The first leg was easy, with Ocampos and Wilshere virtually guaranteeing us a spot in the Semi Final.

The second leg produced the same result

In the Semi Final, we played Barcelona

Amazing result, I couldnt have expected half of this, but I am well on my way to my first trophy.

Second leg

This put us into a final against Atlético Madrid

Spanish Cup Final

The red half of Madrid, Atlético, peppered the goals in the first half, but were unable to score thanks to a series of amazing saves by Ter Stegen. In the 68th minute, left back Marcelo scored from a free kick, putting Real up. Luca Modric sealed the win with an 86th minute header, giving Real Madrid the win!

This game came just before the Spanish Cup game, and it looked like the end for us, falling 7 points behind.

But Barca lost some easy games, and with two games to go, I could smell the trophy.

We took on Betis knowing a win would see us win the league. Jese started off in the best way, with an early goal, and Ronaldo finished the job. We had won the league!

Quarter Final

We took on Dortmund, and had a horrible first leg, but pulled off a remarkable comeback to win 6-4 on aggregate

Semi Final vs Valencia

Jese scored one and had one disallowed, giving us an advantage for the second leg.

And David Alaba put us in the final against Man United, where we would look for the treble.

Champions League Final

We were never in it, with Van Persie and Rooney winning it for the English side.

2014/15 Preseason

Spanish Super Cup

First leg-

We played Cup runners up Atlético, and completly destroyed them.

We lost the second leg, but it didn't matter, as our advantage was so good.

World Cup

Greece produced a huge shock, eliminating Spain, Germany, and then beating Argentina in extra time. The Dutch and Spanish jobs opened up, but despite my reputation being continental, I was rejected.

Transfers

I will be selling Benzema and Higuain, because they won't fit in any more. My tactic will be a 3-4-3, with Neymar, Messi and Ocampos up front
