2012 Manchester City - The English Revolution

Hey guys, I can't get FMH13 or FMH14 so I thought i'd go back to my psp and FMH12 with this challenge :D. Basically, as Man City, I will only be buying English players and will be seeing if I can keep City competitive in the League while using Englishmen.

Transfers Out:

I got rid of players who I didn't need, any price would do really. These players wouldn't play much footy because either I favour the English players or there's too many players in their position.

Gunnar Nielsen - Released

Kolo Toure - 2m to Bolton

Pablo Zabaleta - 4.3m to Everton

Alexander Kolorov - 7m to Hoffenheim

Transfers In:

With a bit more money thanks to my transfers out plus the 55m City gave me, I decided to go for youth and loan them out, mainly using the generic City squad.

Andros Townsend - 4m from Spurs (Loaned to Birmingham)

Jack Robinson - 3m from Liverpool (Loaned to Fulham)

Josh McEachran - 9m from Chelsea (Loaned to Blackburn)

Jonjo Shelvey - 6m from Liverpool

John Bostock - 4m from Spurs (Loaned to Stoke)

Ross Barkley - 5m from Everton (Loaned back to Everton)

John Flanagan - 4m from Liverpool

Jack Rodwell - 10m from Everton

Andy Carroll - 18m from Liverpool

Current Squad:

GK Joe Hart - English

GK Stuart Taylor - English

DR John Flanagan - English

DR Nedum Onuoha - English

DR Micah Richards - English

DL Wayne Bridge - English

DL Gael Clichy

CB Joleon Lescott - English

CB Vincent Kompany

CM Gareth Barry - English

CM Owen Hargreaves - English

CM Jack Rodwell - English

CM Yaya Toure

CM Nigel De Jong

CM Jonjo Shelvey - English

LW Adam Johnson - English

LW Samir Nasri

RW James Milner - English

RW David Silva

ST Mario Balotelli

ST Sergio Aguero

ST Andy Carroll - English

ST Edin Dzeko

ST Carlos Tevez

The first month has been tough, we haven't started the way I had hoped

August:

1-2 v Man Utd - Comm Shield (Nasri)

0-0 v Fulham

0-0 v Man Utd

0-0 v West Brom

2-0 v Wolves (Aguero/Balotelli)

8th in the League after 4 games with 6 points isn't that bad, at least we're still unbeaten in the League!

September:

5-0 v Norwich (Dzeko 3, Toure & Balotelli)

2-3 v Dortmund (Dzeko & Toure) - Champions League

0-3 v Chelsea

1-0 v Birmingham (Rodwell) - League Cup 3rd Round

4-0 v Arsenal (Hargreaves 2, Aguero & Carroll)

2-0 v Basel (Carroll & Dzeko) - Champions League

4th in the league now after 7 games with 12 points, 2nd in the Champions League Group after 2 matches & Into the LEague Cup 4th Round against Petersborough. I'd say that was a decent month with good wins and only two losses. Carroll is starting to come into his stride and he plays well with all the other 4 strikers. In January I'll be selling two non-english strikers and replacing them with either Rooney or Bent, if I can.

October:

3-0 v QPR (Dzeko, Carroll & Onuoha)

1-0 v Wigan (Carroll)

2-1 v AC Milan (Carroll & Toure) - Champions League

1-0 v Newcastle (Lescott)

6-1 v Peterborough (Milner, Rodwell 3 & Dzeko 2) - League Cup 4th Round

4-1 v Tottenham (De Jong, Lescott, Silva & Balotelli)

This month we won all games and ended up in 1st place after 11 games with 24 points. We're still 2nd in the CL, with AC Milan, Us & Dortmund all having 6pts, it could be tough to qualify. We also end next month with a trip to OT to face Man Utd in the League Cup Quarter Finals. It'd be a great end for November if I could win it that's for sure!

November:

0-1 v Dortmund - CL

3-2 v Bolton (Dzeko & Milner 2)

0-0 v Swansea

0-0 v Liverpool

2-2 v Basel (Kompany & Milner) - CL

4-1 v Stoke (Toure, Balotelli, Kompany & Dzeko)

1-2 v Man Utd (De Jong) - League Cup Quarter Final

Overall, this month was shit. We can no longer win everything as I had possibly hoped we could, but we're ahead in the League so it's all good. 16 games in, 35 points and a 6 point gap between us and 2nd place Tottenham. We also fucked up in the CL, AC Milan are our last opponents and we're 2 points behind bpth AC Milan& Dortmund, but a win over Milan will mean we can take their place. Shit Month :(
