Mr Barry, the last I heard, the kids dad didn't want him getting mixed up in the world of agents just yet. How did you get such a protective father to warn towards you?

(Sorry if it's not question time it just felt right )

1. Year One - Stromsgodset

Martin had a very successful first year establishing himself as a regular at his native Stromsgodset. Playing in 36 games the 16 year old managed to rack up 5 goals and 4 assists. Due to this great form we are looking for suitors who can offer the wonderkid regular football and we value him at £1.5m; up from £1.2m. He has proved this year that he can perform consistently and has improved a lot due to this with his dribbling, passing and decisions all being improved significantly.
We believe he can fit into most teams in the world and will be a valuable asset for many years to come.

The potential Martin has is not to be denied and we are looking forward to seeing what you can bring to the table if you wish to consider Martin as a player for your team in the future.

2. Year Two - Stromsgodset

Thank you for your interest in Martin Odegaard. We can see you are a keen admirer of our player and have been tracking him for a long time. We're here to tell you that Martin has been doing brilliantly for Stromsgodset in his second year of professional football and despite being just 17 years old he has been a core player for the Norwegian side. Playing in 28 league games over the last season has resulted in 3 goals and 11 assists and a better average rating for the teenager; up 0.01 to 7.48, but he has shined in the continental cups the most. Showing maturity and ability way past his years has meant the midfielder has starred in 12 games in the European Champions Cup. He found the net 6 times and gathered 1 assist getting a total of 5 man of the match performances due to these! Martin's yearly totals are 43 games played, 9 goals and 12 assists in all competitions in which far surpasses anyone of his age.
We are also delighted to announce that Martin Odegaard is also capped for Norway. He has played for his national side twice in the past year and delivered on the international stage too with a great goal. Overall we are delighted with how Martin has been developing and as expected he is attracting significant interest as he hopes to move on to further his career. For a player of his quality at just 17 years old he has the technique, decisions and dribbling of someone a lot further on in their career and a move to a club such as your stature would be ideal for all parties. We hope you consider this player as you have been doing and we value him at £1.7m for his services.

3. Year Three - Borussia Mochengladbach

£2m was enough to secure Martin Odegaard's signature as he made the move to Germany to play for Borussia Mochengladbach. At 17 years old this move excited Martin and he had ambitions of starring regularly for David Moyes' side as they hope to secure a Champions Cup place again after only making the EURO Cup for Martin's first season outside of Norway.
After appearing for Stromsgodset 8 times with 2 goals and 5 assists to his name before transferring to Mochengladbach the youngsters form was phenomenal and he was hopeful to carry this on in a more competitive league. He lived up to expectations in this regard. Playing 39 times for the German side and scoring 4 with 5 assists was a good return and took him over 100 club appearances in his short time in football. A remarkable feat for such a young player alone! He also appeared for Norway another 6 times as he scored 2 goals to make it 10 appearances and 3 goals for him at just 18 years old. Martin has been working on his physical game a lot in the German First Division as he has improved his strength and stamina notably and is now one of the most tireless players in the world.

Due to the super performances Martin has given in the 5th best league in the world in his debut season, we are valuing the 18 year old at £6.5m if you would like his services for the next year. Please note his contract runs out in 2020 but he has a big club release clause if you do wish to make a move for him and pay his £34k per week wage.
We look forward to hearing from you regarding Martin Odegaard.

4. Year Four - Borussia Mochengladbach

At only 19 Martin Odegaard has enjoyed his best season yet as he appeared 34 times for Mochengladbach scoring 3 goals and assisting an impressive 6 times to improve his average rating from 7 to 7.05 in his second season at the club with him being the stand out player in a disappointing season for Mochengladbach and German football in general. His side; Borussia Mochengladbach, failed to qualify for a continental competition and Germany's league ranking slipped again to 7th. Yet Martin Odegaard is establishing himself as a leading figure in the league and a threat to all opposition players. This will be a great opportunity for you to get Martin before another team does.
His quality is really starting to shine through as he scored another goal making it 4 in 16 games for Norway despite the nation not making the World Cup this year. Martin's game has improved all round thanks to his transfer and he is very eager to keep this up in the future and his happy at Borussia Mochengladbach. However if you do want him then we value him at around £8.25m for this guaranteed performer and will be glad to hear any offer you wish to present us with for the player.

Regards,
Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

5. Year Five - Borussia Mochengladbach

As Martin leaves his teenage years and enters 20 years old he is now one of the brightest European talents. An established first team regular for Borussia Mochengladbach for over 2 seasons now as he finished 19th in the German First Division top scorers ranking with his 11 goals in 34 games being his best goalscoring season yet. Overall in all competitions Martin racked up 38 appearances scoring 14 goals and assisting 6 times. Every year the Norwegian wonderkid is getting better and better. He is a pivotal part for his country too as he keeps up his habit for scoring every season for Norway as his tally takes him up to 6 goals in 24 appearances. His contribution helped Mochengladbach get into the EURO Cup as the standard of German football improved back up to 5th in the world. Martin Odegaard is establishing himself as one of the greats in a leading footballing nation!

With all this considered this season we can offer the services of Martin Odegaard to you for £13m and with his abilities getting better every season some may call this a bargain. Our client would be very happy to talk to you at the nearest opportunity if you so wish.

Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

6. Year Six - Borussia Mochengladbach

With 41 games played in the last season Martin Odegaard is now a key player for Borussia Mochengladbach as his 11 goals and 6 assists capped off outstanding after outstanding performance with his best average rating at the German club to date; 7.24. Along with this Martin showcased his talents at Euro 2020 with the 21 year old getting a goal and a man of the match performance as Norway failed to qualify from the group stages.
The development of Odegaard has surpassed everyone's expectations and he is one of the hottest young talents in world football today. We are offering him to you for just £13.5m in this transfer window despite a new 4 year deal from Mochengladbach. As one of the first names on the team sheet for both club and country we are confident that he can keep going for many years to come and his best years are still ahead of him.

Regards,
Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

7. Year Seven - Borussia Mochengladbach

Martin rewarded Mochengladbach for their new contract as he started in his most games since becoming a professional - 44. With this he contributed his most assists since joining the German side with 8 and chipped in with 9 goals during the course of the season too. Odegaard is becoming a regular name to see scoring and assisting for the runners up of the German First Divison. The Norweigian's game is getting better with every season as his passing and movement adds to the skill set he has already gotten making him such a world class midfielder that there aren't many that can beat him for ability.
His role for Mochengladbach has vastly raised his profile over the last few years and with 44 caps and 14 goals for Norway to back up the hype. Martin is very much a perfect player for most clubs with experience for 7 years now despite only being 22 years old! We'd like you to consider our value of £13.5m very seriously as we believe he would be a fantastic asset to your club.

Regards,
Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

8. Year Eight - Borussia Mochengladbach

Martin hit the biggest sporting event in the world as he helped guide Norway to the World Cup then featured in it. However like the Euros they didn't make it past the group stage yet Martin Odegaard's performances were stand out for the Norwegians. He didn't look tired at all after playing 40 games for Mochengladbach as he put together 7 goals and 9 assists in a very consistent season for the 23 year old midfielder. All in all it was a very positive season for him as he looks to keep terrifying defences as Germany climb back up to the 3rd best league in the world. The quality of opposition doesn't faze Martin as he continues to do his thing and impress everybody.
If you wish to acquire Martin then £9.75m is the value we are putting on him for a transfer in 2022. He is very happy at Mochengladbach but his talent deserves Champions Cup football and we hope that he can be given this by your club.

9. Year Nine - Borussia Mochengladbach

Despite getting an injury Martin managed 15 assists for Mochengladbach in just 33 games recording his best average rating in the German league to date - 7.3. Add in 1 goal for the midfielder and Martin is hitting the ground running at the moment as the potential he showed nine years ago is coming to life as Mochengladbach made the EURO Cup under Christian Streich. At the centre of both club and country Martin's passing ability meant he was 3rd in assists in the German First Division.
This form has attracted interest from teams around Europe with Manchester United leading the race so if you want to get in quickly then we suggest £9.75m would be a fair valuation for Martin as it stands with him heading into the last year of his contract. A move would very much interest the player and a player of his ability will not be available for long so please act quickly if he is a player that you would very much like to sign within this transfer window.

Regards,
Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

10. Year Ten - Borussia Mochengladbach

A poor mid-table finish by Mochengladbach resulted in Jens Keller taking over the reigns. This left 25 year old Martin Odegaard to play in a withdrawn role so his 7 goals and 4 assists in 48 games comes as a shocking dip from previous seasons. However with this he has proved adaptable and performed well despite the new system averaging a 7.29 rating for his team in which was 4th on the team and his league rating was 21st overall. Showing that despite his team's poor performance he can still perform. With over 400 appearances now for club and 72 goals and 90 assists Martin's experience at 25 years old far outweighs most and he is becoming a consistent name in the German First Division.
The new 2 year contract and £2000 per week raise for Odegaard showed the club's faith in the player when chaos was emerging. Mochengladbach managed to fight off Manchester United's interest in him however for £9.25m he is a good acquisition as he looks for consistent European football. Please Email us if he interests you.

11. Year Eleven - Borussia Mochengladbach

Martin led the league for assists as he recorded 18 in all competitions in his best season yet at Mochengladbach and his most assists ever! Leading the team in average rating at 7.37 in 44 games with 6 goals to boot he wanted to impress with only a year on his contract. The season he had was sublime by most's standards and earned him a new two year deal as Mochengladbach slipped to their worst season since Martin joined the club - finishing twelfth. The poor performances of the club and Martin's abilities throughout it all means that we hope a £9m value will force a transfer through in order to make the most of the talents of the Norwegian international.

Regards,
Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

12. Year Twelve - Borussia Mochengladbach

Injury left Martin playing only 34 games (the lowest since 2022/23), however he still contributed heavily to the team with 5 goals and 7 assists in a very disappointing season for his club - Borussia Mochengladbach. Due to this we'd like him to move on and despite his happiness at the club we wish to offer him to you for a transfer for just £8m. This is a great deal, his best years are still ahead of him at just 27 years old. The midfielder is proving to be a top player for club and country as he nears Norway's records too with just 30 caps to go and 6 goals! His wages are only £36,000 a week too, exceptional value for a player of his ability. We want that to increase to match other players in his situation and feel your club can do just this.

Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

13. Year Thirteen - Borussia Mochengladbach

It was business as usual in 2026/27 for Martin Odegaard. Averaging the best he has done at Mochengladbach with a 7.44 rating in 36 games meant he had the greatest season he has seen yet. At only 28 years old he still has plenty of time to do so much more for club and country despite being the highest average rating in the team in the past season and 13th overall in the German First Division. Martin is showing so much star potential now as his 6 goals and 10 assists rank him as one of the best in Germany at this time!

For Martin Odegaard we'd like a £10m offer for his service as he approaches the final year of his contract before the European Championship. Excellent value for a player who is always getting better.

Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

14. Year Fourteen - Borussia Mochengladbach

Yet another superb season for Martin. 12 goals and 9 assists for Mochenglacbach meant he was in the top 10 in both goals and assists in the German First Divison; an outstanding achievement. He really is fulfilling the potential we saw in him back when he was 15.  Unfortunately injury prevented him from going to the 2028 European Championship, however the season he had was still one that all of Europe will surely be looking at and wanting in the team. £11.5m is an acceptable amount for a player of this standard and one we will happily look into on your behalf if you so wish us to. Please be aware though Martin has just signed a new contract up to 2030 on £35k a week so a wage increase would be required for him to play for your team.

Declan Barry (WorldWide Scouting Agency)

15. Year Fifteen (Part One) - Borussia Mochengladbach

Our client Martin Odegaard has proudly broken the Norwegian scoring record as he has now scored 34 goals for his country. He is also very close to equalling the record amount of caps set by Liverpool legend John Arne Riise being just 8 caps off. The midfielder is sure making an impact on World football as we predicted. An impressive form has led him to be chased by many teams across Europe and interest is really hotting up for Martin. 6 goals and 2 assists in 30 games has meant he has been a consistent presence for Mochengladbach and at just £10m he is bound to make a move sooner or later as he seeks a challenge for himself. We believe your club will be the perfect fit for Martin and we'd like to discuss a transfer so please get in touch with us.

Unusual and fresh approach to challenge(?) (simulation rather), although I find Odegaard a bit disappointing. After all the hype and his real talent IRL, right here he clearly underperforms. About 10 assists in 30 games isn't incredible and his value flowing all around £10M makes me feel, I don't know, sad? Not living up to the expectations on this save.
