2015 Regen Names

Just wondering...

Are regens named entirely randomly...

In my Guiseley save I have seen Regens called Wes Brown and Jamie O'Hara, are they regens of themselves or is it total coincidence they have those particular names???

There's also a list of names that have been barred from being generated, such as Ian Huntley etc

Off topic, this reminds me of a story where a lad got banned from xbox live for putting his home town as Fort Gay which is a real place. The town Mayor had to go public to get the decision reversed

in database, there is a file for the name of grey-out players and regens. only the names in that list will be used in game.

There's some really strong names in there, but I think my favourite has to be anything from the "Richard" family. Probably Richard Fest

What would happen if one day a player with a name on the blocked list becomes famous, lets say, in a few years time a kid called Oliver Cromwell becomes the next big thing, would he have to change his name(or use a middle name) because the FM database does not like it???

They'd allow it, just like Argel F***s is in the game as a manager in Brazil. Immature but every time I'm in Brazil and his name pops up I have a giggle lol.

However that list is to ban regen names so no regen will appear with the name of the manager above.

If a North Korean guy was at your workplace and you (not personally you) said to him: "I'd love for your name to be Mi Suk Kok, but don't worry because some African names are hilarious", the excuse "it could be a real name" wouldn't wash with HR. It's 100% racist, and when you get at the pun, it's obscene language. You (not personally you) wouldn't make the joke to your children on the grounds it could be a real name so you're not swearing at them.
