Hidden Nations - Part 1

Introduction:
Hello ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Hidden Nations, part one. This is a two part series brought you by myself and DSW. This has been split into two series due to the amount of time and effort needed to complete this shortlist, and also the fact that DSW really likes the idea too! Now to what it's all about. This series is all about finding weird and wonderful nations in FMH15 that many of you (hopefully) won't of heard of. We have some real beauties here and would love to share the love with you guys... Enjoy!

Montserrat:
Montserrat is a Caribbean island - specifically in the Leeward Islands, which is part of the chain known as the Lesser Antilles, in the West Indies. It is a British Overseas Territory.

gallery_60833_212_322532.png

Donervon Daniels:
On loan at Aberdeen from West Brom, Daniels is undoubtedly Montserrat's best player. The 20-year old has good tackling, aerial and great positioning for a young centre-back. Perhaps not good enough for West Brom, Daniels may look for a move to a lower-level club, such as Aberdeen.

gallery_60833_212_217116.png

Anthony Griffith:
An average looking defensive midfielder, Griffith is also one of Montserrat's best players. He protects the back four and uses his aggression to shake players off the ball and win it back in the middle of the park. Perhaps not as exciting as Daniels, Griffith's versatility and defensive positioning make him key in defence.

gallery_60833_212_7002.png

Tanzania:
Tanzania is an East African country known for its vast wilderness areas. They include the plains of Serengeti National Park, a safari mecca populated by the “big five” game (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino), and Kilimanjaro National Park, home to Africa’s highest mountain. Offshore lie the tropical islands of Zanzibar and Mafia Marine Park, where whale sharks swim through reefs.

gallery_60833_212_146718.png

Adi Yussuf:
Tanzania's only player on FMH, Adi Yussuf plays for lowly club Oxford City. An altogether poor player with average aggression and strength. He lacks an end product with poor shooting and will not be able to get into good areas with only 9 movement and 7 positioning. I would not recommend signing this player and you can see why Tanzania are ranked 106th in the world!

gallery_60833_212_209013.png

Malta:
Malta, an archipelago in the central Mediterranean between Sicily and the North African coast, is a nation known for historic sites related to a succession of rulers including the Romans, Moors, Knights of St. John, French and British. It has numerous fortresses, megalithic temples and the Hal Saflieni Hypogeum, a subterranean complex of halls and burial chambers dating to 3600 B.C.E.

gallery_60833_212_250262.png

Joseph Zerafa:
The Maltese winger who plays for Welling is another poor player. More of a defensive winger with good tackling and aggression stats, Zerafa would be good for Conference teams who want to play 5 at the back with defensive wingers. However, he lacks strength, crossing and dribbling, limiting his versatility as defenders require strength and wingers require crossing and dribbling skills.

gallery_60833_212_157343.png

Sierra Leone:
Sierra Leone, officially the Republic of Sierra Leone, is a country in West Africa. It is bordered by Guinea in the north-east, Liberia in the south-east, and the Atlantic Ocean in the south-west.

gallery_60833_212_261843.png

Medo:
Another ball-winning midfielder, Medo is a lot better than the first. Playing in the English second tier, Medo has played 8 games for his nation and looks okay at first glance. He has poor attacking attributes (as expected), but has good defensive attributes and goods mental and physical attributes, making him quite the engine. His aggression and tackling should be enough to sit in front of the defence and act as a fifth defender when needed.

gallery_60833_212_259295.png

Ibrahim Bah:
One of the younger players on this list, Bah is a future talent and plays his football for recently relegated Blackpool. Perhaps not at Championship level yet, league 1 or 2 football could help ignite a successful career for the Sierra Leone goalkeeper.

gallery_60833_212_239664.png

Antigua & Barbuda:
Antigua and Barbuda is a country encompassing its 2 namesake islands and several smaller islands. Positioned where the Atlantic and Caribbean meet, it's known for reef-lined beaches, rainforests and resorts. Antigua's English Harbour is a yachting hub and the site of historic Nelson's Dockyard, now part of a national park. In the capital, St. John's, the national museum displays indigenous and colonial artefacts.

gallery_60833_212_256125.png

Dexter Blackstock:
One of the more well-known faces, Blackstock is a class Championship poacher and can be picked up for a cool £3-5M. A good signing for lower-EPL teams and higher-Championship teams. He has good shooting, aerial and movement giving him the chance to jump onto any through balls or rebounds. A class striker for most teams overall.

gallery_60833_212_184978.png

Zaine Francis-Angol:
The young wing-back looks like he has a solid future ahead of him. He will need to work on his tackling, crossing and stamina, but his 15 pace will already make him a force to be reckoned with down the left flank. Furthermore, Zaine can also play as a full-back, winger or attacking winger. A player with versatility down the left-flank is great for any team.

gallery_60833_212_237948.png

Cape Verde:
Cape Verde, or Cabo Verde, is a nation on a volcanic archipelago off the northwest coast of Africa. It’s known for its Creole Portuguese-African culture and morna music. Its many beaches are jumping-off points for windsports and diving among shipwrecks. Its largest island, Santiago, is home to the current capital, Praia, and the old capital, Cidade Velha, with its clifftop fortress.

gallery_60833_212_233939.png

Garry Mendes Rodrigues:
Just look at this guy! He has brilliant crossing and dribbling stats, as well as movement and pace. At the young age of 23, Garry has a good future ahead of him and should move away from Elche in the future if FMH is right. Low wages and a small fee could attract the attention of many managers!

gallery_60833_212_329889.png

Ze Luis:
I never knew this guy was from Cape Verde, but nevertheless, he again is a good striker. 23 years old, 16 shooting, what more is there to say? Playing for Braga, expect this guy to deliver big things in the coming seasons!

gallery_60833_212_84011.png

Saint Kitts and Nevis:
The Federation of Saint Christopher and Nevis, also known as the Federation of Saint Kitts and Nevis, is a two-island country in the West Indies.

gallery_60833_212_29685.png

Romaine Sawyers:
A good advanced playmaker for lower league teams! Has great technique, but lacks creativity for an APM. Sawyers also has great potential as a 22 year old and will look to lead St Kitts & Nevis to glory...

gallery_60833_212_198025.png

Barbados:
Barbados, in the eastern Caribbean, is an independent island nation within the British Commonwealth. Bridgetown, the capital, is a cruise-ship stop with shopping, colonial buildings and one of the Western Hemisphere’s oldest synagogues. Barbadian traditions range from afternoon tea and cricket (the national sport) to pursuits such as scuba diving at Dottins Reef and golfing on designer oceanside courses.

gallery_60833_212_197946.png

Emmerson Boyce:
A quality full-back for a league one team, maybe even a championship. With Premier League experience under his belt and some good attributes, Boyce would be a key player in any lower league team. What great stamina for a 34 year old! :D

gallery_60833_212_216682.png

Latvia:
Latvia is a country on the Baltic Sea between Lithuania and Estonia known for its strong national identity, diverse culture, modern cities and landscapes ranging from wide beaches to dense, sprawling forests. Latvia’s capital is Riga, home to museums and churches, notable wooden and art nouveau architecture, a vast Central Market and a medieval Old Town.

gallery_60833_212_206120.png

Vitalijs Maksimenko:
Perhaps one of Brighton's weaker players, Maksimenko is one of Latvia's best players. Just shows the difference between weaker national football and the English second tier! He has good stamina and aerial, but lacks essential tackling for a centre back. He also lacks aggression to play as a ball winning midfielder.

gallery_60833_212_135881.png

Dominica:
Dominica is a mountainous Caribbean island nation distinguished by geothermal hot springs. Its most famous spring may be the volcanically heated, steam-covered Boiling Lake, which falls within Morne Trois Pitons National Park. This preserve also encompasses rainforest, sulphur vents, the twin waterfalls of Trafalgar Falls and narrow Titou Gorge. To the west is Dominica’s capital, Roseau, with colorful timber houses and botanic gardens.

gallery_60833_212_190656.png

Richard Pacquette:
Ouch! Some very poor stats here... We can definitely see that Dominica's football is very weak. However, with 14 shooting and 16 aggression, you don't want to be facing this guy in the Conference; potentially a top scorer for his last few seasons.

gallery_60833_212_200180.png

Zimbabwe:
Zimbabwe is a landlocked country in southern Africa known for its dramatic landscape and diverse wildlife, much of it within parks, reserves and safari areas. On the Zambezi River, Victoria Falls make a thundering 108m drop into narrow Batoka Gorge, where there’s white-water rafting and bungee-jumping. Downstream are Matusadona and Mana Pools national parks, home to hippos, rhinos and birdlife.

gallery_60833_212_276442.png

Knowledge Musona:
What a strange first name?!? Knowledge seems to replicate his first name with his footballing game as he has 11 goals in 16 games for Zimbabwe and has some quality stats for a 24 year old winger. Some work on his crossing and stamina and he could potentially be a great player.

gallery_60833_212_62989.png

Marvelous Nakamba:
Not quite as 'marvelous' as Knowledge :D, Nakamba has potential. However with no greens and plenty of oranges, there might be some better and cheaper options for this position.

gallery_60833_212_91523.png

Cyprus:
Cyprus, an island in the eastern Mediterranean, has rich, turbulent history stretching back to antiquity. Known for its beaches, it has a rugged interior with wine-growing regions. It’s separated into a Greek south and Turkish north, with the capital Nicosia also divided. Coastal Paphos is famed for its archaeological sites relating to the cult of Aphrodite, including ruins of palaces, tombs and mosaic-adorned villas.

gallery_60833_212_187032.png

Stathis Aloneftis:
The Cyrpiot winger whose name I cannot pronounce can play either as an AML or ML. He is also equally good at playing in both the winger and inside forward roles. He will also add some experience to your side. Furthermore, at 31 years old he still has pace and therefore should have a couple of seasons left in him.

gallery_60833_212_159325.png

Bermuda:
Bermuda is a British island territory in the North Atlantic, off the eastern U.S., known for its distinctive blend of British and American culture and pink-sand beaches such as Elbow Beach and Horseshoe Bay. Its massive Royal Naval Dockyard complex combines modern attractions like the interactive Dolphin Quest with a look at maritime history at the National Museum of Bermuda.

gallery_60833_212_144682.png

Nakhi Wells:
I'm sure that most of you will of heard of Nakhi Wells. Made the headlines whilst playing at Bradford when they achieved that great FA Cup run. Now playing for Huddersfield, he has some great attributes. 17 shooting and 16 movement make him a threat to any club and will potentially earn him a move to a Prem club.

gallery_60833_212_69024.png

The Gambia:
The Gambia is a small West African country, bounded by Senegal, with a narrow Atlantic coastline. It's known for its diverse ecosystems around the central Gambia River. Abundant wildlife in its Kiang West National Park and Bao Bolong Wetland Reserve includes monkeys, hippos and rare birds. The capital, Banjul, and nearby Serekunda offer access to beaches running south from Bakau to Kololi.

gallery_60833_212_185596.png

Ibou:
Oh my goodness... What steal that would be for £1M!! If I were a championship team or even a lesser BPL team I would definitely snap this guy up! Can't believe I've never seen him before - will definitely test him out. Just look at those stats... 18 shooting!!

gallery_60833_212_89218.png

Modou Barrow:
Well Gambia aren't lacking a solid strikeforce are they now? Barrow may not be in Monk's first team picture right now and may even be offloaded, but would be good for a championship team and has great potential. However, a high price tag and high wages may put some teams off.

gallery_60833_212_320338.png

Pakistan:
Pakistan, officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, is a sovereign country in South Asia. With a population exceeding 191 million people, it is the sixth most populous country and with an area covering 796,095 km2 (307,374 sq mi), it is the 36th largest country in the world in terms of area.

gallery_60833_212_265271.png

Shabir Khan:
So we go from two beasts to this... Let's just say that Pakistan should stick to cricket :D! One strength he does have is that he will provide excellent backup with great versatility. As he can play as a full-back, wing-back and centre-back.

gallery_60833_212_224901.png

Grenada:
Grenada is a Caribbean country comprising a main island, also called Grenada, and 6 smaller surrounding islands. Dubbed the “Spice Isle,” the hilly main island is home to numerous nutmeg plantations. It’s also site of the capital, St. George’s, whose colourful homes, Georgian buildings and early-18th-century Fort George overlook narrow Carenage Harbour. To the south is Grand Anse Beach, with resorts and bars.

gallery_60833_212_25404.png

Anthony Straker:
Definitely not as good as Jason Roberts, but he still an average winger for a league two team. He can play anywhere on the left flank, although is better defensively. Not much to him I'm afraid. Strange how an average league two player can get four international call-ups... Imagine Akinfenwa playing for England :D!

gallery_60833_212_316337.png

Guyana:
Guyana, a country on South America’s North Atlantic coast, is defined by its dense rainforest. English-speaking, with strong traditions of cricket and calypso music, it's culturally connected to the Caribbean region. Its capital, Georgetown, is known for its British colonial architecture, including tall, painted-timber St. George’s Anglican Cathedral. A large clock marks the facade of Stabroek Market, a popular source of local goods.

gallery_60833_212_158360.png

Ricky Shakes:
I've always though of Guyana being in Africa, not sure why though lol. Anyways, Shakes is a good Conference South/North winger and can even perform well in the Conference Premier. Not as cheap as other wingers, but will add experience and some quality deliveries from the wing.

gallery_60833_212_27001.png

Democratic Republic of Congo:
The Democratic Republic of the Congo, also known as DR Congo, DRC, DROC, RDC, East Congo, Congo-Kinshasa, or simply Congo is a country located in Central Africa. From 1965 to 1997 it was named Zaire.

gallery_60833_212_148752.png

Youssouf Mulumbu:
One of the best players on this list, Mulumbu is quite under-rated and has some great stats on FMH15. He may be a little pricey but with so many greens you can see why. Definitely DR Congo's most valuable player.

gallery_60833_212_128237.png

Chancel Mbemba:
This guy has a brilliant future ahead of him. At 19, he already looks a good ball playing defender. Expect someone to sign him up soon - will be DR Congo's future prospect! Not only does he have good technical stats, but he is strong and great in the air and so is very well rounded.

gallery_60833_212_139690.png

Yannick Bolasie:
Oh my word. Bolasie has amazing stats on here. 19 dribbling and 18 crossing... JESUS!! Solid pace, technique and strength, what more could you ask for? Bolasie will play a key role in Palace's next season, provided he isn't sold.

gallery_60833_212_223403.png

Seychelles:
The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off East Africa, known for its beaches, coral reefs, diving, nature reserves and rare wildlife such as giant Aldabra tortoises. Mahé island, with an international airport, is a key transport hub, home to capital Victoria, the mountain rainforests of Morne Seychellois National Park and white-sand beaches including Beau Vallon and Anse Takamaka.

gallery_60833_212_170674.png

Kevin Betsy:
Wow, 36 years old! Better get some new leagues in or Seychelles might be extinct in the next game... Sadly he plays out wide and with low pace and crossing, he may be very weak out there. I would prefer him to be an AMC or MC as an advanced playmaker. Nevertheless, Seychelles has a really cool flag... :P

gallery_60833_212_27899.png

Gibraltar:
Gibraltar is a British Overseas Territory on the south coast of Spain known for the Rock of Gibraltar, a 426m limestone ridge at its centre. Gibraltar occupies 7 sq. km of a peninsula bordered to the north by the region of Andalusia. First settled by Moors in the Middle Ages and later ruled by Spain, the outpost was joined to Britain in 1713.

gallery_60833_212_213364.png

Scott Wiseman:
Aww, Gibraltar don't have a world ranking... Never mind, Wiseman (would link up well with Knowledge :D) has pretty average stats with the majority being blue. He would add experience to lower league teams and was probably be a valuable player in Preston's push for promotion.

gallery_60833_212_322210.png

Faroe Islands:
The Faroe Islands are an archipelago between the Norwegian Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean, approximately halfway between Norway and Iceland, 320 kilometres north-northwest of Great Britain.

gallery_60833_212_122118.png

Gunnar Nielsen:
Nielsen is a solid keeper and will come very cheaply. With most of his keeping attributes at 14, he could be a good championship/league two first team player or even a good Prem back-up. Don't worry about the age because goalkeepers can live on forever! *cough* Brad Friedel *cough*.

gallery_60833_212_250704.png

Luxembourg:
Luxembourg is a tiny European country, bordered by Belgium, France and Germany. It’s mostly rural, with dense Ardennes forest and nature parks in the north, and the Moselle river valley in the southeast. The rocky gorges of the eastern Mullerthal region earned it the nickname “Little Switzerland.” Its capital, Luxembourg City, is famed for its fortified medieval old town perched on sheer cliffs.

gallery_60833_212_118392.png

Anthony Moris:
Another cheap keeper that could be a bargain buy for any team. Moris is also young at the age of 24, however he lacks communication and this may lead to defensive errors and cheap goals.

gallery_60833_212_109059.png

Armenia:
Armenia is a nation, and former Soviet republic, in the mountainous Caucasus region straddling Asia and Europe. Among the earliest Christian civilizations, it’s defined by religious sites including the reconstructed Greco-Roman Temple of Garni and 4th-century Etchmiadzin Cathedral, headquarters of the Armenian Church. Another pilgrimage site is Khor Virap Monastery, in the foothills of Mt. Ararat, just across the border with Turkey.

gallery_60833_212_54553.png

Henrikh Mkhitaryan:
Definitely one of the best players on this list, Mkhitaryan is a great attacking midfielder and a former Liverpool target :(. You may argue that they have a high world ranking compared to other countries, but finding that Armenian flag is quite hard! mkhitaryan has a low valuation and you may be able to snap him up for a cheap fee as he is not in Dortmund's first team picture. After using him I would definitely recommend him!

gallery_60833_212_19187.png

Zambia:
Zambia, in southern Africa, is a landlocked country of rugged terrain and diverse wildlife, with many parks and safari areas. On its border with Zimbabwe is famed Victoria Falls – indigenously called Mosi-oa-Tunya, or "Smoke that Thunders” – plunging a misty 108m into narrow Batoka Gorge. Spanning the Zambezi River just below the falls is Victoria Falls Bridge, a spectacular viewpoint.

gallery_60833_212_252984.png

Emmanuel Mayuka:
Mayuka was a hot prospect in past FMs but has failed to make that 'big' impact and still sits on the Southampton bench, nevertheless, he is only 23 and has plenty of time left. However, his FMH stats are very good and he is very overpowered in game. I would recommend signing the Zambian poacher for mid-table BPL teams.

gallery_60833_212_226682.png

Central African Republic:
The Central African Republic is a landlocked country in Central Africa. It is bordered by Chad to the north, Sudan to the northeast, South Sudan to the east, the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the Republic of the Congo to the south and Cameroon to the west. The CAR covers a land area of about 620,000 square kilometres (240,000 sq mi) and had an estimated population of around 4.7 million as of 2014.

gallery_60833_212_291248.png

Manasse Enza Yamissi:
Another bargain player! He is versatile across the whole backline, has great tackling, aerial and strength and in general specialises in keeping strikers in his pocket... Enjoy him. :D

gallery_60833_212_170664.png

Thank you very much for reading and I hope you enjoyed part one! Sorry this is split into two parts but it requires a lot of effort and 25 teams is surely enough for now... :P

I definitely don't consider £35-40 million a cheap price since Henrikh Mikhitaryan usually costs around that much if you try to buy him on the first season and secondly under A.I that is under Klopp Mikhitaryan is under regular first team action so it's a bit weird to read that arbit information. Did you checked it initially?

Yeah I admit I got the price wrong, but I based it on the valuation. However, under the AI, Mkhitaryan doesn't play as much as other players (I know he does in real life tho). In my current save he played 22 games in 2014-15 and 18 in 2015-16 which I consided to not be a lot.

Bundesliga itself offers a 34 games in league and a short round about for DFB-POKAL so I see not a problem even though I think the price is still maintained approximately about £35 million for 2-4 seasons though.

A lot of effort has gone in to this. Such a good write up an so very interesting finds. Really great work :)

Gibraltar do have one or 2 other youngsters that could probably do a job over here only to like league 1 or championship level shame they aren't on FMH

I have a mate I went to school with who has gone over to Gambia and plays for a team in the Gambian Prem he's called Jamie Milton and he is trying to see if he can be elegible to play for the National Team! Would love to see him in FMH haha

I agree with everyone above. It's clear that a lot of effort has gone into this and it's brilliant work indeed, However, just a small suggestion, perhaps next time split it into more parts as with such a huge body of work, it can be a lot of information to take in at once :)

@AventzgerYT Thanks mate and I used more than one save with different leagues loaded to get different combinations. DSW's update will have a lot more players from Asia and Oceania than mine, so look forward to that one too!

@MerlionMaple96 Thanks a lot! Next time I will make sure to put a bit less info in and I can understand where you're coming from. However I didn't want to prolong such a series and make it four or five parts long. I have much more content to write out and I would never get it written! :D

Football Manager says that there are 2 Latvian players on the game but that I guess means the ones in the national team. Maksimenko is one of course, but there is also Aleksandrs Cauņa for CSKA Moscow and Artjoms Rudņevs for Hamburg (Rudņevs is the one who doesn't get picked for the national team). I don't think either of them can grow anymore but they could be fairly decent players.

also, nice list! Will definitely be looking out for part 2!
