Hi guys, I am back with my first career on FMM16 after messing about for a few weeks.

I decided, like many others I see to tackle the 1000 Goal Challenge first.

The player, I chose of one the most sought after wonderkids in European football...

Breel Embolo

For the starting club I chose PSG, as I had never completed this challenge in the French league before.

Here he is as he starts his quest, signed for just £10.5m

Season One - Paris Saint-Germain

Transfers In

Added in all areas along with Breel to boost the squad. Vida is a steal for such a top defender.

Transfer Out

Managed to get decent money for Zlatan and got rid of the some dead wood.

French Champions Trophy

Our first cup as Di Maria strikes to win against Lyon

Ligue 1

We take the league title with ease conceding just 14 goals.

Champions League

Terrible first leg costs us as we ship 6 over two legs against Sporting in the Quarter Final.

French Cup

What can you do?? 

Coupe de la Ligue

Another poor defeat on pens to Stade de Reims, we should have won this but poor finishing let me down.

Seasonal Awards

Ballon D'or Award

Breel takes his first award after just a few months beating Messi to the title.

Breel makes it a double by taking the Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award with Di Maria second.

Lucas Moura picks up Runner-Up in the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Award.

 

I claim my first Ligue 1 Manager of the Year Award.

Club Squad - Stats

Embolo was assisted well by Di Maria and Pastore.

Manager Profile

Decent first season with the league and cup but will look to improve in coming seasons.

After the Euros I managed to grab the French job too.

Breel Embolo

So an average first season really but his stats have shot up with IT so hopefully next season he will be more prolific and manage more games. Also hitting the target for Switzerland would help too.

I know its not the best start but I am a few seasons in and he does improve greatly although I do notice he does need a lot of chances to get his goals?

Season Two - Paris Saint-Germain

Transfers In

Herrera was needed to boost the midfield and added a few regens.

Transfer Out

Just trying to recoup some outgoings.

French Champions Trophy

With Embolo injured, Cavani took his chance by blasting 4 past AS Monaco.

Ligue 1

We retain our title with a strong campaign.

Champions League

We had 32 chances over the two legs and still managed to lost 3-2 on Agg to Liverpool! 

French Cup

These type of games always helps....14 in one game... 

A late David Luiz winner helps us lift the French Cup.

Coupe de la Ligue

An Embolo brace helps us past OM to lift a cup treble.

Seasonal Awards

Breel retains his Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award with Di Maria second again.

Marquinhos picks up Runner-Up in the Ligue 1 Young Player of the Year Award.

I retain the Ligue 1 Manager of the Year Award.

Club Squad - Stats

Di Maria was in outstanding creative form this season.

Manager Profile

Retaining the title and adding all the national cups was a great season but another poor showing in Europe.

Breel Embolo

So much better this season, helped by that one cup game! Stats have improved again and he has started hitting the target for the Swiss team too.

Massive season, let's hope he can improve again next season though as it's not as impressive if you take out that one game.

I know what you mean @Ashezbut I will take those games all season long!

He is not the most lethal of strikers and needs at least 4-5 per game to stick one in. He does go on runs where he hits 2/3 per game then goes 4-5 games without a goal but is getting chances. Hopefully with age he will improve his strike rate.

Season Three - Paris Saint-Germain

Transfers In

A big outlay this season with the main man Pogba coming home with Beradi too plus Ibrahimovic's regen as back up.

French Champions Trophy

AS Monaco get revenge as a Verratti red card doesn't help.

Ligue 1

Just one defeat as we romp to the title again.

Champions League

Bayern were too strong for us in the Semi Finals.

French Cup

We lose the final to Lyon AET as we failed to make our chances count.

Coupe de la Ligue

A Di Maria braces helps us past AS Saint-Etienne to lift the cup.

Seasonal Awards

Embolo reclaims his Ballon d'Or Award.

Another double for Breel as he retains his Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award with Di Maria second again.

I retain the Ligue 1 Manager of the Year Award.

Club Squad - Stats

A new formation this season but still Di Maria and Verratti pulling the strings.

Manager Profile

Just a league and cup double. Did better in Europe but still need to improve and missed out on some extras games.

Breel Embolo

So a slight drop to 60 goals for Breel, not a bad return but would like to see 70+ each season so hopefully up around that mark next season. Still playing around with the tactics to get the best out of him.

France

So after taking the French job I wanted to try and keep the international manager role going so I decided to set myself a side challenge and go for a Record International Goals. I picked Anthony Martial as he had not been capped when I called him up so I am aiming for 150-200 goals as he is young enough and has great striking attributes already.

We easily qualify for the World Cup

World Cup

A sticky group stage ensures we just scramble into the second round. Although Martial hits 9 against Iran!

We dominate Austria in the second round, then squeeze past Spain the Quarter Final.

But Malcom's finishing puts us out in the Semi Final, missed chances again. A Martial hat-trick ensures we finish 3rd in my first tournament. An amazing start from Martial he has blasted 41 goals in just 17 games...

A decent season but no repeat of that cup game has had an impact unfortunately. Hopefully he improves but all in all decent going  

AS used to post an International Goal challenge but he's not been around. Target was 200 with 255 being an extra one as the ITN goal counter resets to zero after 255. Or it did the last time I saw numbers like that being hit

Thanks Ash. Yeah, those extra cup games could really help push the tally up by 10-15 goals I think.

I knew there was a challenge, I know that @afctelfordhad Richairo Zivkovic blast 203 goals in FMH15 so that will be my starting target.

I hit 203 goals with Zakaria Bakkali as well last year (or at least its my last screenshot from the save (he was just 30 at the time)), international management is so much fun.
Btw good luck with Embolo, used him for a while but he didnt seemed as a particular goalscorer planned a big challenge with him

Hmm seems like France is a difficult country this year. Couldn't get n'iang to score loads as well. I think it has something to do with their limited "traits" if you look on position. Anyways, so far a slow start, but a decent start. Wish you all the luck upcoming seasons!

That will be my target then. I find, I think like most manager the international part of the game a bit of grind so setting a challenge should ensure I keep it going longer than I normally would. He is a hit and miss striker, patchy form throughout the season but the older he is getting the more consistent he is becoming. Also I think I have found a tactic to suit him.

It does seem a bit harder. I am creating chances but not blasting the goals in. I am not far off my target per season should hopefully I will be ok...

Just caught up with all of this over the last few days. You are doing really well and I love the graphic at the end it just makes it so much easier to keep up to day with his tally. Some stunning season in there mate

More big names coming in to try a new winger based formation.

Transfers Out

Moura and Ibra's regen wanted away so got some cash back on them.

This time we put AS Monaco to the sword to open the season.

Ligue 1

Those 10 draws were far too many to expect to win the title.

Champions League

A terrible first leg see's us crash out in the Quarter Final against Valencia.

French Cup

Lyon are thumped in the final.

Coupe de la Ligue

AS Monaco squeeze past us in the semi final.

Seasonal Awards

Another Ballon d'Or Award for Embolo.

Another Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award for Embolo.

I lose my Ligue 1 Manager of the Year Award to Garcia.

Club Squad - Stats

Relying too heavily on Embolo cost us this season.

Manager Profile

Lost our league title but did lift two cups but it was a season to forget.

Breel Embolo

Another drop in goals is not what we needed. Really need to go further in europe to get those extra games. A bad season all round really as the team underperfomed.

Well, I have used lots.... I started with a narrow 4-3-2-1, then I switched to a wide 4-1-2-2-1 but at present I am using 3-3-3-1.

I thought wingers would be the way to go but I just can't get one I completely trust but wing backs seem to be a better option.

Lemar was the major signing, he has been outstanding for France for me so far.

No major departures, just loaning out the kids.

French Champions Trophy

A hat-trick from Breel seals the opening trophy of the season.

Ligue 1

We reclaim our title but no screenshot, sorry.

Champions League

Again Bayern make us pay as we lose in the semi final.

French Cup

A bad defeat in the Tenth Round as we failed to take our chances.

Coupe de la Ligue

Poor showing as we lost to OM in the Quarter Final, sorry again forgot to screenshot.

Seasonal Awards

Embolo wins his forth Ballon d'Or Award.

Five in a row now for Embolo as he wins another Ligue 1 Player of the Year Award.

I reclaim my Ligue 1 Manager of the Year Award.

Club Squad - Stats

Verratti had an outstanding season in the middle for me. Such a consistent performer.

Manager Profile

We retain the title in a somewhat disappointing season all round.

Breel Embolo

A rise in goals but failed to hit 60, I need more from him so hopefully he will be hitting his peak in the next few seasons. We are over the 300 goals now.

France

We stroll to the Euros with maximum points.

We win the group with a couple of wins.

A second round win against Greece then a narrow penalty wins against Holland and Ukraine sees us in the final against Germany, who we beat 7-0 earlier.

Another comfortable win sees us lift our first International trophy.

Martial ends the campaign just 8 goals short of 100 in only 41 caps, amazing!

Thanks. Embolo needs to up his game by 10-20 goals really.

Marital is absolutely lethal upfront, his strike-rate is far superior to Embolo's.
