Career KTS EPL 1K Challenge

Introduction

I have decided to take a little break from my John Charles challenge. I'm just not feeling it at the moment. I think it's the Spanish league I don't like. So in the meantime I am continuing with my 1grey challenge and starting up a 1KC in the English Premier league.

I have decided to play as Chelsea because I've never used them before and they have a large budget and decent players to help me get the job done.

But let's see if you can guess the Player. I'll start with a clue or two

  1. He is already in a premier league team
  2. He is English
  3. In real life he currently has 20 senior goals. None of them in the Premier league

Good luck mate. My guess is either Marcus Rashford, James Wilson or Saido Berahino

Mate, I'm sorry but I think I need to give up. I can't find anyone who matches your criteria.

It appears I've stumped you.

So I'll just tell you now.

The player is the Geordie whizkid Adam Armstrong.

He doesn't have the most amazing starting stats but he's 18 years old and at least has a green in shooting.

Of course! Great player choice. Hopefully he has a good PA roll for you. Good luck

Season 1

Transfers

Screenshot_20160910-141321.thumb.png.e56Screenshot_20160910-141309.thumb.png.01e

Lots of ins and outs to address the balance in my squad.

The Season

Charity Shield

Screenshot_20160910-140140.thumb.png.e7f

A nice 3-1 win over a good side.

Capital One Cup

Screenshot_20160910-140127.thumb.png.a7e

We crashed out to Arsenal in the quarter final

F.A. Cup

Screenshot_20160910-140101.thumb.png.8af

We pick up more silverware by seeing off Palace

Champions League

Screenshot_20160910-140109.thumb.png.b59

Man city beat us in both legs to send us packing in the quarter finals.

League

Screenshot_20160910-135947.thumb.png.6d1

Not bad we win the league only losing one game and picking up a 91 point tally too.

How did our striker do?

The Player

Let's have a look at how Adam Armstrong's attributes have improved over the year.

Screenshot_20160910-140008.thumb.png.7ee

Not bad. I'm liking his shooting, dribbling, movement and decisions.

However, did these attributes help him to  do well this season?

Screenshot_20160910-134413.thumb.png.694

Well he picked up player of the year, how many goals got him that title?

Screenshot_20160910-140044.thumb.png.139

48 goals in 58 games. Not bad at all for an 18 year old in the Premier league.

So that is season 1 over let's hope for an improvement next year.

Season 2

Transfers

Screenshot_20160916-200235.thumb.png.c99

Some big ins and outs with Fabregas, Cuadrado and Moses all unhappy. I think I overpaid for the players I brought in but they were the guys I really wanted.

The Season

Charity Shield

Screenshot_20160916-173529.thumb.png.195

An armstrong brace bags us the shield in an otherwise even affair.

Capital One Cup

Screenshot_20160916-173516.thumb.png.df6

A pretty easy 2-0 win over West Ham gets us the lesser cup.

F.A. Cup

Screenshot_20160916-173508.thumb.png.59b

Another 2-0 win and we sweep up the remaining domestic cup.

Champions League

Screenshot_20160916-173502.thumb.png.2ce

We make it to the final to face German giants Bayern Munich, and pick up the win on penalties.

League

Screenshot_20160916-173546.thumb.png.ecc

A second league title in two years fingers crossed we keep this up.

The Player

After a decent first season did Mr Armstrong do any better this year?

Well first his stats.

Screenshot_20160916-173443.thumb.png.f6c

No massive improvements but he's a solid enough poacher.

Screenshot_20160914-195836.thumb.png.0ef

Screenshot_20160916-171853.thumb.png.7d3

He picks up both world and EPL player of the year, nice going. But what about the goal tally?

Screenshot_20160916-173450.thumb.png.0ea

59 Goals in 63. An improvement of 11 goals in 5 more games. Hopefully this upward trend continues

Games - 121

Goals - 107

Great goal tally and chipping in with some decent assists as well. Greens in all the right areas. An international call up is a bonus and gives him a little confidence boost.

Thanks mate. I'm looking to get the England job asap so I can count those goals too.

Season 2

Transfers

Screenshot_20160925-124850.png

Some big fees paid but mostly just for squad rotation.

The Season

Charity Shield

Screenshot_20160925-123353.png

We take home the silverware with a 2-0 win over London rivals Arsenal.

European Super Cup

Screenshot_20160925-123404.png

We smash Monaco 5-1 to cement ourselves as the best team in Europe.

Capital One Cup

Screenshot_20160925-123342.png

Arsenal get a measure of revenge for the Charity Shield  loss by knocking us out of the capital one cup.

F.A. Cup

Screenshot_20160925-123327.png

Meanwhile a high scoring encounter with Man City takes us down in the FA cup

Champions League

Screenshot_20160925-123319.png

Bayern then beat us in both legs to knock us out of the champions league. This is not going well

League

Screenshot_20160925-123307.png

And Arsenal win the league to complete the misery this year, but how did Armstrong do?

The Player

Well he won world player of the year but I forgot the screenshot. I did, however screenshot his EPL player of the year award.

Screenshot_20160925-122515.png

and here are our man's end of year attributes.

Screenshot_20160925-123251.png

Some small increases here and there, but how many goals did he score?

Screenshot_20160925-123300.png

53 is a small decrease in production in a few less games so I will be hoping for more next year.

Games - 180

Goals - 160
