Can u put some pictures of what you tried because personally I don't know his tactics even if I've watched atletico play many times

I didn't try by my self to be honest but I found this tactic for FM16

It's similar to those tactics

Personally on FMM I don't think 2 playmakers next to each other would work. Try playing Saul as a CM though Gabi tackles a fair few (2.5 average tackles and interceptions per game yet only 2 key passes) so would be better as a BWM.

Play direct passing, counter attacking, pressing and balanced. I'd also say it is a 4231 not 442 due to Griezmann and he is more like an INF as he doesn't cross lots.

If you are set on a 4-4-2 I have nailed one with Leicester although I don't know if it really matches the way Athletico play.

Or this if I'm feeling more defensive:

Finished 5th the first season and 1st in the second, winning the FA Cup and reaching the final of the League Cup and Europa league along the way, all with a distinctly average squad.

I seem to recall Simeone being quite defensive, so the second set of instructions might be what you're looking for. Even if my tactic isn't what you were looking for, you could use it as a base to work from.

Hope that helps.

Interesting setup,I might try IF in middle as IF's on wings never worked for me

The better option is probably playing Garcia up front as a Treq.
