Do inside forwards and box to box midfielder get in each others ways when going forward?

Yes and they can also both shoot from range so cause lots of shots but off target.

If you want to use a BBM and an IF it probably helps to keep them as far away from each other as is realistically possible. 

They can work well in the same team though.

I don't think they do. The IF seems to run into the box on attack whereas BBM doesn't go that deep.

I've always preferred BBMs to linger on the edge of the box. I know they ought to go into the box but as a Norwich fan I worship Bradley Johnson who was a typical box to box midfielder. Most of his goals came from gobbling up rebounds and crosses on the edge of the box. That style of play is what is represented in game by the BBM role at the moment. The right player in that role can easily get 10 goals a season and plenty more assists. You shouldn't forget that it is very rare that a central midfielder will score more than that in real life.
