Career Cork City. I Don't Know How I Can Do This.

CORK CITY CAREER

 

basically, i have decided to take over my local side of Cork City. Included here is a bit of club background.

As you can see, in the Europa League, but not gonna get anywhere. I need some help. 

 

I cannot sign many players. I have included my budgets, best players and how thin my squad is... Im going to try to only sign irish internationals or young players in this career. 

 

Some of my aims are;

Become Irish National Team Manager,

Get CCFC into the Champions League Group Stages 

Sign an Irish International under 30 with over 25 caps

Win at least 2 of my first 4 League Titles. 

 

If you have any other suggestions, let me know. 

 

Do you guys have any suggestions of youngsters i could get cheap to begin the career? I've just no clue where to start.

I haven't played in Ireland in long long time. There's a few decent guys, like Oshimen, on a free but doubt they'd join your club or you'd be able to pay their wages. Got no names for you tbh would have to have a look myself.

Looking forward to seeing Cork launch to the top.

Couldn't get a work permit for Oshimen or Kingue ??? gutted as both were way too good for my team

Ireland is awesome. You can get any team to win the title in the first season

Very difficult in Europe though ? 5-1 aggregate to a Kazakhstan side.... 13 games to go. Will then post season update! Cmon CCFC!

Well then, here goes nothing!

Season 1:

'Former Sunday League substitute Cian McGrath handed City reigns after Caulfield retires'- Daily Star

"Is this really the reception I get?", as I look at the pittance my chairman has given me to spend...

I immediately decide free agents is my best bet, and signed up some terrible free agents.

Once I've seen the boys in training, I decide to have a look in the academy and promoted 15 of the lads to bolster the already thin squad. Thankfully, for me and the club, these boys rarely played, barring the awful strikers I was forced to use at times. 

Despite not finding my own class of 92, my assistant John Cotter tells me of a young 'keeper in the academy called Lorcan, and another French lad who's on trial. I have to say I was delighted to call both up.

Finally, to bolster my squad further, i signed two of my worst ever signings on football manager, or any game for that matter.

The Season Itself

Before a ball was kicked, Dundalk had the league in their hands according to many. A squad with 3 capped Irish internationals, and me, with DAN SPENCER?!? Well, as I looked up at the aritcles writing us off at the start of the season, I continued polishing our trophy.

LEAGUE CHAMPIONS!!!!!

Never leaving the top of the table, with an astonishing home record of 15-0-1 and a poor away of just 7-7-3. 

 

Cup wise, we blame the fact we were focused on the league, (it was I swear!)

RUDDY ST PATS!!! Banishing us wee cork snakes from the cup!!!!

 

PLAYER OF THE SEASON

 

Without a doubt, our player of the season, goes to.... *drum roll* SEANIE MAGUIRE!

Opposition defences were terrified, of SEANIE MAGUIRE.... HAH! NaNaNA..... You guys know the drill....

 

Allowed to thrive in an unusual formation, he also chipped in with a nice share of assists.

 

Conclusion

We have proven our ccritics wrong in Ireland and after losing 5-1, in Europe, we are now ready to prove Europe wrong! REAL MADRID ARE YOU LISTENING! 

 

For next season, I have already sounded out Lee Desmond as a future captain of mine I hope, but I could do with some helpp finding a number 10 for playing off of Seanie as our CAM. Even some help with which stats to look out for plz and tnxxxxx.

 Cant believe i didn't set it as a challenge, but one of my free agents i signed this season, SPOILERS!, has been capped for ireland. I really didn't think id have international standard players at this early stage! Who knew...
