Hi @Fish18ish, no this career isn't over. I will be updating it soon with the Europa League Semi Final against FC Porto ?

Sorry didn't mean to sound impatient, just saw your activity on other threads and thought perhaps you'd finished this one.

Glad to hear it's not over, it's been very entertaining so far.

FEATURED MATCH....

FC PORTO .VS. WEST HAM UNITED
EURPOA LEAGUE SEMI FINAL - 1ST LEG

West Ham travelled to Portugal to face in form FC Porto in the Semi Final of the Europa League. Thousands of West Ham fans have made the journey to Portugal hoping to create history.

The Hammers called on Target Man, Andy Carroll once again in the Europa League, and once again he delivered. Carroll always offers something different and when you have players that can deliver a ball it all fits into place. Carroll found the net in the 26th minute and sent West Hams fans into raptures.

FC Porto then upped the tempo and put West Ham onto the back foot. Attacking and fluid place threatened the Hammers back line with Andre Silva equalising with a brilliant volley on the 43rd minute.

Andre Silva was again the bearer of bad news for West Ham when he broke through just before half time and put the Portuguese side ahead. Redknapp was visibly fuming on the sidelines.

The match ended 2-1 to FC Porto, but West Ham have that all important away goal. Can they take advantage back home at the London Stadium?

FEATURED MATCH....

WEST HAM UNITED .VS. FC PORTO
EURPOA LEAGUE SEMI FINAL - 2ND LEG

West Ham welcomed FC Porto to the London Stadium in the crucial Semi Final, 2nd leg of the Europa League. The aggregate score was 2-1 with West Ham holding a vital away goal.

The Hammers had Argentine striker Jonathan Calleri leading the line with a very attacking formation. It only took 3 minutes for the striker to beat two defenders and slot the ball in the bottom corner.

West Ham were dominant throughout the match, however FC Porto threw players forward in desperation of swinging the tie back in their favour. Redknapp deployed Simone Zaza and Sofiane Feghouli and opted for a counter attacking style, which worked in the 78th minute when Feghouli broke through and made it 2-0.

Simone Zaza found himself one on one with the FC Porto goalkeeper following a corner for the away side. He very calmly took it round the keeper and slotted the ball into the centre of the net and celebrated with the stunned home fans.

FEATURED MATCH....

WEST HAM UNITED .VS. S.L. BENFICA
EURPOA LEAGUE FINAL

West Ham faced S.L. Benfica in the Final of the Europa League at the Friends Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. Fans travelled in their thousands to watch their sides.

The Hammers stuck to their attacking side but had to bring in Mark Noble for the suspended Pedro Obiang. The side started well by dominating possession and putting S.L. Benfica on the back foot.

The first goal of the game came in the 25th minute when Michail Antonio burst down the left wing, cut inside the fullback and stroked the ball into the far bottom corner. The noise from the West Ham fans something to behold.

Harry Redknapp again deployed Simone Zaza in place of Jonathan Calleri as he plotted to counter attack the Portuguese side. Zaza received the ball on the half way line with one defender to beat, they both raced to the 18 yard box where Zaza chopped the ball back onto his right foot and hit it hard and low past the opposition goalkeeper.

The final whistle went and the players and staff ran to celebrate with each other. There were tears all around for such a momentous occasion, one of the greatest in West Ham United's long history.

West Ham United Manager Harry Redknapp has dedicated the clubs glorious win in the Europa League to former Hammers legend Bobby Moore.

A tearful Redknapp told Sky Sports News: "Bobby would be so proud of what the club has achieved. I know he would be smiling ear to ear. I want to dedicate everything to him, he was a leader, hero and a true friend".

Redknapp also added, "This is the start of a fantastic era for West Ham United. I really feel that this club will go on to greater things now, we are far too big to be a mid table side". Jim White - Sky Sports News.
