Great stuff, mate. 52 is a lovely number. Just think about this once you do manage to move to stage 2 the challenge is yours for the taking. And with 52 bagged already you could set the bar high on the leaderboard. KIU!

Cheers dude, just waiting for that elusive job in across the Irish sea (taking a break to try your Latin challenge)

Haha DAMMIT you Taff :)! Sadly for me you hit 52 - but congrats :)!

any luck with connecting to William Wallace :)?

Sorry dude, but I'm very pleased with that number, still no joy in Scotland applied a few times through the season but nothing

Great work Taff! What level is your reputation at now that you've won AFCON?

Are you applying for any and all SPL jobs?

Cheers but even winning the AFCON my rep is still only national, but maybe I can land a higher rep national team

I'm applying for pretty much any SPL job that comes up (a few I looked out have a team full of greyed out players so there no option and the job just come up so few and far in between that it's getting really annoying at the mo

I know exactly how you feel. I'm doing the Bradley Wiggins challenge at the minute and it took me 9 seasons to get to move leagues for stage 2... Really hope it doesn't take you that long!

Me too I don't think I can do 9 seasons in Ireland

Yes you could consider this, because one can get plenty of jobs in both Wales AND England, but none in the great north :)

Season 4

Hi guys sorry for the delay but were back in Ireland and Cliftonville are still kicking butt

Spoiler: Still no job in Scotland applied for at least three but no joy

So this will be a quick update

After Hughes managed a steller 52 goals last season I was just happy to play the season out while keeping an eye on the Scotland jobs

The main man himself had a decent season this year, but seemed to struggle to find the same form as last year (but with the record held secure I felt easier about resting him more than i have been

IMG_0892.thumb.PNG.1be0ca11298b5442c3cb52879e0f86d6.PNG

Nothing really to report on his stats

IMG_0893.thumb.PNG.1668fd41c2ee44a64f1845b030401649.PNG

But he did grab 46 goals in 60 games which is a decent amount, the poor guy was so tired for big portions of this season with a full league campaign, four domestic cups and ECL games but he has scored a massive 185 goals for Cliftonville under my management so I can't really ask too much more of him

Here's how the League and Cups played out this year

Spoiler

IMG_0873.thumb.PNG.968464a2251a96637cac08a28d30edbb.PNGIMG_0875.thumb.PNG.81f479c645653ef78370a57877fda020.PNG

A very comfortable league campaign this year saw us lift the title with a huge 30 point gap over our nearest (if you can call them that) rivals

Another clean sweep of domestic trophies this year

IMG_0842.thumb.PNG.f929bd5174958af530487fc359b79567.PNGIMG_0841.thumb.PNG.2d680c8520de01f476b08a168c36379f.PNG

My two main strikers combine to give us a convincing 3-0 win over Ards in the Co. Antrim Shield

IMG_0849.thumb.PNG.6858eb0d8647df496f66fef53b71fdb5.PNGIMG_0848.thumb.PNG.1cf4a2f8ed17c2eb2d46c5e1cf77f3f1.PNG

A much closer contest saw my star midfielder score the only goal to help us lift the League Cup

IMG_0871.thumb.PNG.2a858f802e0cc0393d859a4378b1d714.PNGIMG_0870.thumb.PNG.cfb9bc76e68e2efcab3c6e3661e82cf5.PNG

This time my IF is the hero in another 1-0 win that sees the Mid Ulster Cup return to Cliftonville

IMG_0881.thumb.PNG.e570c9a302fe799632717004c778cd71.PNGIMG_0880.thumb.PNG.df787ea1f937a917cdf4f91f79cdc527.PNG

And Hughes returns with a bang as a brace from the main man seals a much more comfortable cup final once again denying Crusaders and giving Cliftonville their fourth cup of the year

As for our European journey this year it started well beating Celtic (that's right the Scottish Champions) in the Playoff's to progress to the Group stage that saw us go up against Liverpool, Anderlecht and Shaktar

Spoiler

IMG_0847.thumb.PNG.299f2aed75e963f35d992bb6d95d750b.PNG

We finished in last place but the boys should be proud as they lost once to Liverpool and once to Anderlecht (both 0-1 losses) and drew the other four but we end our journey in Europe at an early stage

The transfer front was very quiet this year with just some unwanted graduates leaving, Managed to hold on to all my players this year and got most to sign new contracts without the "Big Club Release Clause" so I can hang on to most of the team

Spoiler

Here's the season fixture list

The team stats for the year

Spoiler

IMG_0882.thumb.PNG.05ce4c75e4c4a288a1471a50603564e8.PNG

Hughes having another great year but McDaid grabbing over 30 goals was great to see, he's been a great striker partner for Hughes and it's such a shame he's leaving soon (already agreed a deal elsewhere before I could give him a new contract)

IMG_0883.thumb.PNG.e0101cbbef02758748d6ee9688a69a9f.PNG

This might be why he isn't as prolific this year is the fact that he seems hell bent on assisting his team (normally a great quality but i'd rather he scroes)

And some end of season awards too

Spoiler

IMG_0877.thumb.PNG.e3844f0fe911fabda4d0d35d2cd894ea.PNG

My strike partners once again claiming the two top spots in the POTY awards

IMG_0878.thumb.PNG.7955bfd7d64a4fcc7deb5650cdeae8e2.PNG

My star CD grabs the YPOTY

IMG_0879.thumb.PNG.e3330be88001fa613d34aae5f0ec380d.PNG

And it's a runner's up spot once again for myself in the MOTY catagory

I just thought I would also add my Trophy case to show what We've achieved after four seasons

Spoiler

IMG_0894.thumb.PNG.65afc10da25858aaaa865adf2151038d.PNG

4 League Titles, 14 Domestic cups and a ACON crown as well, Come on SPL I'm a catch PLEASE TAKE ME IN!!!!!!!

See you guys soon (I'm jumping between this and the Latin Challenge so sorry if there's a delay in updates

See you on the Flip side

Solid season. I fear this challenge has become unplayable tho. If not that the fun's been sucked out of it as it was intended to be 2-3 seasons per stage tops.

At least it served as a learning experience I hope.

I'm not giving up yet, and to be honest it might just be a case of allowing people to move through the countries as needed rather than going in order

Getting a job in Wales should be easy enough and you never know about the EPL they have signed some dodgy Dutch managers in the past :D

Taff i Think one should go to Scotland first and not bend the rules ?? ( it gives me the advantage for now ) ⚽️

I'm with you mate, I would rather stick to the order but not if the game is just going to get killed off because no one can get the move, but I'm still holding out hope

Season 5

Hi guys and YES before you ask we're still in the Emerald Isle and still no joy on the Scotland front, so this will be another quick update

Hughes had an off season this year with some good bouts of form but nothing to write home about

IMG_0957.thumb.PNG.602b4cb319d47b4660bbf0ae4ca13f72.PNG

Only 40 goals this year but now we're just playing to up my rep (need a better shot in Europe, couldn't get past Shamrock Rovers this year in the playoffs)

Here's our Transfers this year (more of my players poached)

Spoiler

IMG_0948.thumb.PNG.88d7848be541cf4f401680b160701812.PNG

Got some decent money for Kun, but really hated seeing him leave as well as McDaid who has been a great partner for Hughes

IMG_0947.thumb.PNG.87ad36de8f04a9db86be87aa4e21bff4.PNG

Tankovic was the find of the season a great little Swedish striker who helped out when Hughes was lagging, Fletcher was a guy I got to know when I played as York last year (or the year before) and he was another good striking option the rest were just squad fillers

So the League and Cups was another great success yet again

Spoiler

IMG_0939.thumb.PNG.10617b775800b4411094f6558051cbd0.PNGIMG_0940.thumb.PNG.b7142903c4fa4da58d73037d99664935.PNG

Not quite as solid as last year but still a 5th consecutive league title is a good thing

IMG_0931.thumb.PNG.cd4f0ba47a84d81e30ddb767822596fa.PNGIMG_0932.thumb.PNG.c91ed7011c74150164d6d34d0073f1b8.PNG

First Domestic Trophy of the year comes our way thanks to a 2-0 win

IMG_0934.thumb.PNG.118d4e920d00123048a44a8d130e9bce.PNGIMG_0933.thumb.PNG.19c8516c0b74540e8cb7b2122fb840d5.PNG

One of my new signings helps once again beat Ballymena in a cup final to secure our second trophy of the campaign

IMG_0938.thumb.PNG.e62e64365d11db4559411a7dca6c79cd.PNGIMG_0937.thumb.PNG.c2e3d9189e2c427ee40242e60afa3543.PNG

Another one of my strikers gets a double this time to secure our third cup of the season

IMG_0942.thumb.PNG.dc6376fd845d81319dab4344d3f4fd04.PNGIMG_0941.thumb.PNG.9e652671d1ca2665bf2a02f623ce165b.PNG

And this makes 4/4 as we clinch a domestic (fivedruple???) to end another very successful season

Here's our season fixtures

Spoiler

IMG_0949.thumb.PNG.7531914d384f9a898bd719a02104cabe.PNGIMG_0950.thumb.PNG.ee2a73ad4a49100d323b435ce783fe7d.PNGIMG_0951.thumb.PNG.793ece805f73159b51f677d949b0c65a.PNGIMG_0952.thumb.PNG.6fe40a8f4dcd7821f61681cb31b15140.PNGIMG_0953.thumb.PNG.04a134fc1cec2fd9588ae0d2ebbf7b58.PNGIMG_0954.thumb.PNG.1dcf0f5d37fe045916c578859d31cd8b.PNGIMG_0955.thumb.PNG.269cfab1928365120e29c1afe345a4f5.PNGIMG_0956.thumb.PNG.aa98489a53bf60821037d72cafa01567.PNG

Here's the team stats and end of season awards

Spoiler

IMG_0945.thumb.PNG.a336772ed74604885bd27efe39da5d10.PNG

Hughes was once again our top scorer but Fletcher gave him a run for his money, and Tankovic may have only got 12 goals but they were all from the bench and he played AM for the better half of the season

IMG_0946.thumb.PNG.20de1580c63b676c1c18b122828a1817.PNG

Hughes once again proving what a team player he is with 13 assists on the season one less than our RW Connolly

IMG_0943.thumb.PNG.7453185c9a52e6fd217b1a5cafb2bdca.PNG

Hughes grabs his 5th POTY award and instead of McDaid his new strike partner Fletcher grabs the number 2 spot

IMG_0944.thumb.PNG.16d613c4f40d423358071fadc2086bf1.PNG

And whats this a MOTY award with my name on this must be some mistake I only won all domestic competitions again, thank you

Now before I go I also want to share this just to prove those gits in Scotland how much their missing out

IMG_0936.thumb.PNG.031e9ad67672bf4477ae224fe0686416.PNGIMG_0935.thumb.PNG.bbdd19e94418c24cbfcb8639d3ef18f0.PNG

I help Cameroon to their second consecutive AFCON title

What more do you want you Scottish Bumheads

Sorry for the rant

Anyway onto what I hope will be the season I finally get the move (applied for at least 4 different jobs over the course of this season but my rep is still only National so don't know what else I can do short of poisoning the entire UCL competition so we can win by default

See you on the flip side

This is getting silly now :(. It's why challenges where you have to move are so off pointing to me, at least it's not to a specific club at least!

Hopefully luck is on your side soon :).

It's a shame as a few of my threads this year have involved moving clubs and I enjoy it (saves getting bored in one place)

just cant believe not one Scottish club is willing to give me a shot
