Just a quick question,  do you want to see me win a trophy or anything before I move on to a new club, as I have been offered a position in Poland. Just asking if you want to see another season in Turkey, or next update do you want to see me in Poland?

It's better that you stay here for 3-4 season & turn your mediocre team into mid-table finishing or top-4 challenging team .this way you leave ur legacy at club . If you move poland then u have to do same squad building thing again that you are already doing mate .

Do quick update atleast of half-season it'll keep us interested.

Update 5A

Hi guys and welcome to update 5A. Before we start, I owe all of you an apology because this is only a half season Update. Due to not having my IPad over the weekend, I couldn't play as much as I would have liked, but wanted to still get something out for you guys.

Now that most of my saves/games are sorted, updates should flow a bit better now, and this could well be the last half season Update in a while. Due to me not wanting to run out of info for the full season review, this may be a bit shorter, but I will still try to get as much info as possible in for you guys!

Tactic

This is the same tactic we used last season, but for about 40% of the season so far we have used a 4-2-3-1, so there has been some variety so far, but this seems the best option!

It was a warm day, not to hot, but warm. The players were sprinting around with admirable pace, sweat pouring down their necks as they returned to the starting spot. I turned to see two men being escorted over by 4 security guards, each one at least a foot bigger than the last. The one man, a small Dutch gentleman, had a bright red face with wet hair and a stiff walk. "Good afternoon gentlemen, you must be our new staff members." The other man, a thin Frenchman, looked delighted as we shook hands and embarked into a conversation, only for me to be pulled back into training. Both men hurried off inside, with the Dutchman taking off his shirt as he walked away!

I decided to revamp the coaching staff to ensure maximum growth in our players for the upcoming season, aswell a season a new scout to help our recruitment issues.

You could call it an overhaul, I thought we needed an injection of quality in a lot of areas, so 10 players were brought into the club, with only 4 costing fees. More on these players will be covered in the full update.

Out

We let 2 defenders, a Winger and a striker leave in the window, bringing in a cool 2.5 million. The future of the club is bright, with several youngsters going out on loan. More on that below.

Class of 19/20

I walked into the Academy with a sense of hope inside me. I was escorted to a briefing room by two men with grey suits, keeping an eye on me at all times. As I entered, Yasin Cirav, my assistant, stood there with a line of 6 youngsters behind him. "These are the future" he said in a joyful voice. I shook each of their hands before they left the room, and I was handed 6 reports, stacked on top of each other. I flicked through the first one, to find information of all sorts on one of the players. I gathered them all and ran back to my office a second quick as possible to evaluate the reports."

If I am to stay at Balikesirspor, I am excited for what we can achieve, as these 6 all have bright futures with the club. I will provide a more detailed evaluation in the full update.

Wow ! You got such a good start to your new season. Sergi Gourdiola is really playing good. One thing that bothers me is tiny backroom team.Its really good to see trabzonspor and Fenerbahce struggling & small sides rising up.

I hope you'll qualify for europa/champions Leauge this season.

What type of game do you play (attack balanced or CA or Defensive)??

I've started my own EME save with Leicester city & i hope i can succeed on this engine. Mate, Shall i post it as a new career ?? This is how i've started.

Thanks mate, Guardiola has been class this year, aswell as many others. Managed to beat both of the teams you mentioned, so was really pleased with that! I'm confident of top 5, so thanks for your prediction. Good to see people back me aswell!

With my current tactic, I play a balanced game, but I often switch to attacking if we aren't getting the goals. Your save looks good, dominant win over United there!

With Tomas, not sure if he is Tevez's regen, I'm thinking maybe Cambiasso? Not sure tho. I am about 40% sure however that Ancelotti is Totti's regen, but again not fully sure

Well thanks mate. I'm playing this save to learn a bit about eme as i started getting annoyed with ome (& felt like im loosing interest in fmm )where my Tactic every season was getting countered by AI by December and we start loosing games.

Doing well re clean sheets but having a little trouble scoring goals apparently. 26gls in 17 league gms and 2gls in 5 cup gms is a bit low. 

Hope the second part of the season gives the Balikesirspor fans more cheering opportunities. Altho doing fine in that EL spot.

Cheers BG! Scoring has been a slight issue, we will have games where we have 14 shots an it will end 0-0 for example, so hopefully I can clean that up!

Me too! Although I'll say that the Turkish Cup is in my sights...

Next year we should be at our best, and with a few signings we can easily win the league. Mor is a good shout, although I can only afford £10,000 per week on each player. I'll take another look though, cheers mate @Seth Anacondas

Update 5B

Hey guys and welcome to the full instalment of season 4 of The Journey. In this update, we run over the events of the remainder of the season, aswell as delving into some story scenarios and going over things like Stats. As I have grown in confidence in the community over the last few weeks, I will attempt a new style of updating so it's not as boring as before  Enjoy!

 

The clubhouse was packed. I walked in, barely managing to move an inch before getting an elbow to the stomach. I pushed through the wave of people to the bar, where water bottles littered the counter. "What's going on" I asked, with a puzzled tone to my voice. All the woman did was point. I followed her finger, and it took me to the open doors of the building. People in shorts rushed in, one after the other, sweating like mad. I turned back, smiled and ordered a drink.

So, after our mid season update, there was a lot up for stake. Would we drop out of the top 4 and be classed as failures? Would we push on and win the title? Well, we finished roughly in the middle of the two....

We secure a Europa League spot by the skin of our teeth! It came down to the last day, where we dispatched of Sivasspor 3-1 to claim our place in Europe's 2nd best!

This man was an inspiration. Without him, I have no idea where we would have finished, and I'm so, glad we got him in last year!

I invited Tomás in to my office. He looked worried as he entered, but those nerves quickly settled as I handed him a bottle of the finest beer in the land. "Son, you had a cracking year. Let's drink to an even better one next year" and to that, we cracked of the bottle caps and drank away

So many assists! Was pleased to see 3 different faces this year on the list, and that's only the top 12!

With a season as solid as that, surely we had SOME good performers? Well...

So many players had a good season. Mhadebi and De Blasis pleased me the most, with both being picked up for virtually nothing and succeeding to such a high degree. Below are some of the other stats for the season...

Our Australian centre back played the most this year, barely missing a game...

Goals

Mhadebi leads the chart as expected, with a few players grabbing some much needed goals aswell. Would have liked more from the likes of Guardiola and Ancelotti, but oh well.

It was a longer season than what I was used to, with only 27 league games in Australia whilst there was 34 here, so my selections and tactical choices may not have been the best throughout the year as I looked to rest some players. Here is a look at the fixture list...

As you can see, an up-down season all the way through. Disappointed to have been knocked out at the 4th round of the Turkish Cup, but I will build stronger and push on for next year.

Throughout the year, I had a few offers here and there for jobs. If you saw my sneak peek from earlier on in the week, I was offered the Legia Warsaw job, but rejected it. I was also offered the following job...

Surely I must be good if I'm getting these offers? Below is my manager profile from after the season ended....

I was looking out of my office window when I heard a knock at the door. I turned to see club chairman Feyyaz Çiftçi standing there with a brute of a man at his side. He flapped him away, entered and closed the door. "Ethan, I must say, you have done an incredible job this season. However, after the job offers you received this season, I think it's best if we give you something back, to show why you should stay" He lifted a button out of his pocket and told me to turn around. As I turned, I saw a door open from the rows of garages on the ground floor. I heard a loud hum, and suddenly, a motorbike of the highest quality sped out and did a turn. "Thank you Ethan" he said, before placing a box on my desk and leaving the room.

So, surely such a prestigious season would see me and my band of heroes crowned with the highest honour in the land, POTY and MOTY. Well, the Turkish FA had other plans it seems...

How?

How!?

HOW!? How am I not even considered! 

 

To finish..

The players were tired. You could see that. They walked with either a limp or a dragging leg. The final meeting before the off-season was always a big thing. Say the wrong thing and have a squad of unhappy players. Say the right thing, and the world is your oyster. "Lads, this season was..." I paused, and smiled "This season was amazing. We fought harder and longer than anybody, because unlike everybody else, we never gave up. Galatasary may have won the league, but to thousands of people around the country, YOU are the heroes. YOU are the winners. And YOU can be up there next year. So, what's stopping US from being champions!" They all cheered and high-fived as they left, and I was soon the only person in the room, still smiling.
