Career Robbie Keane - 1 Season 30 Goals?

Just caught up with the few updates I have missed, and I've got to say unlucky mate. It started very well, but it seems Keano's age has taken a toll on proceedings. Hopefully, you have a second crack at this as I feel with a bit of practise you could crack this. There is still time this year though, come on Robbie, do Vibe proud!

UPDATE FIVE

Another 10 games gone and no goals for Keane. Again another disappointing update as Robbie continues to flop in front of goal.

His stats continue to go up and down...

9 goals in 49 for Keane, from what started quite brightly its crashed to the ground quickly. 

Another failure as we lost the EFL Cup Final 4-3 to Manchester United.

Are you really?

We've reached the Emirates FA Cup Semi-final and will play Sunderland. The winner of this fixture will play either Crystal Palace or Preston North End.

We've also reached the Qiarter Final of the Europa Leage where we will play Borussia Mönchengladbach.

Keane has also been called up by Ireland and could play a part of their World Cup Qualifying game against Moldova, interesting.

His coach report now tells me that Keane is 'currently in below average form', state the obvious Jesús Perez!

Rested for the West Brom game, but still no change in his form.

We were having a very good run in results but hit a brick wall when we lost to United in the EFL Cup, can we get back to winning ways against Liverpool?

I'd definitely be playing Keane as a Poacher at this age, no matter what the game suggests. That should mean he doesn't have to run as much, just hang around and score!  

Anyway, I hope you get him scoring again, though as you say, might be too late to reach the target..

That's interesting, I may have to rest him a wee bit more, but I can't see it having too much of an impact of his heart heated performances.

Yeah he definitely has to play as a poacher but he still continues to come deep and when Son scores he's on the edge of the box, very frustrating haha.

Good work @Cockers2505, I am very interested in the formations and tactics you applied for this, if you don't mind sharing? I thought he had goals in him but he just seems nowhere near what he could be capable of. He's never in the right position and my wingers are scoring form positions where he should be haha! 

I'd love to see how you got on again with other clubs mate, be sure to let us all know.

Thanks @mcandrew003, yes very disappointed how this one has failed. In all fairness right now I would take 9 League goals and to win the FA Cup or Europa League. But overall it's been a big failure haha!

UPDATE SIX - FINALE

Unbelievable Geoff! Robbie Keane has somehow showed me up and gone and scored 8 in the last 11 games!! I haven't changed formation or position, I think he just decided to turn up!

His attributes seem to have not changed.

His recommended roal has now changed to Poacher... could this explain his change in scoring? I've played him as a Poacher all season too.

16 in 64 games, average rain of 6.92. Also no injuries and only rested for one game in the whole season, that's got to be some achievement at his age!

His 10 goals in the Premier League this seasons means that Robbie is inducted into the 100 club! ??

Coaching report now says he's a 'creative player'.

No changes recently in his progress.

Incredible at the back end of the seasons, I don't know where it come from!

Almost another but Keane missed his penalty in the Emirates FA Cup Final!!

Played this most of the season but as soon as his recommended role turned to Poacher he started scoring!

The end of season form was brilliant. Keane scored in 4 games in a row, almost 5... that's 6 goals in 4 games!! If only he started this goal spree earlier on in the season...

Final league table. Man United finished champions, with us finishing 3 points behind Arsenal. Is that Boro in 9th? 

Heung-Min Son finished on 19 goals from left wing, I've impressed with him and might use him in other saves!

That would be a brilliant idea, I'd love to see anyone give this a try and see if it's possible to reach 30 goals! I'd definitely follow your attempt @Jens

I have a feeling this is about to become a very popular little competition! Might jump on the bandwagon myself at some point lol, silver lining - he made it to the 100 club and finished the season in style!

He only acquired half the amount you were aiming for so that's gotta be a disappointment but he can look back at a wonderful career. I enjoyed following Keane's journey.

I am happy with the finish and the cup wins too. But overall I'm disappointed with his long long goal drought, a failure on my part. I definitely think you should give it a go @scratch99

Yeah it could become popular, I definitely think you should have a go at it. I'm glad he got to the 100 club but gutted I didn't get to my target of 30. Thanks for your comments @Brenty92.

Yeah I am disappointed with it overall. It was just typical that he started scoring at the end of the season like he was mocking me  thanks for following the journey @BatiGoal.

My original target was 20, but it just seemed a bit lame for me haha. I knew it was going to be tough. Thanks for your comments @Ashez I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I know that feeling! In my One Season Only 80 Goals attempts I really only thought 60 was realistic, but I just thought that wasn't big enough for people to be bothered about... Totally blew the first one I tried and only just sneaked in the second after using a much better striker and a much richer team..

Ironically I had him for a season in a save with Cardiff just before I read this! Got something like 8 goals in 25 appearances for me, most of which were from the bench.
