Career Can the fighting Irish conquer the world?

Recommended Posts

John Liew a rookie manager started his managerial career as unemployed but he only wants to manage at his home league, the Republic of Ireland.

Mid way through the 2016 Irish Premier Division, St. Patrick's Athletics have been struggling in 11th place (relegation play off).

The club has decided to part ways with their manager and appoint John Liew (me) but can he steer St. Pats to safety?

John Liew has managed to secured his first ever league title with 1 game to spare and also retained the Irish Senior Challenge Cup, a domestic double.

John Liew also had his first taste of European football.

Overall, it was a very rewarding season

The 2018 season has been a very challenging season so far for John Liew as he prepares to fight on both domestically and in Europe.

How will John Liew do in the Europa League play off against Spainish opposition?

Despite a very fighting spirited performances over 2 legs against Real Sociedad, it wasn't enough to get into the group stages.

John Liew now focuses his attention over to domestic competitions.

After the impressive European run for St. Patrick Athletic, another player have caught the attention of a few English clubs.

Keith Treacy is an Irish international with 6 caps and is a very important player for the club.

After rejecting a 65k bid from Charlton athletic, Treacy has inked a new 3 year deal to stay at the club until 2021!

Hi @johnliew1991 so far doing really well, personally I would of let Treacy go for that kind of money being he is 30 Years old and his Stamina, Pace and Strength is quite low, you would easily of got someone a little younger and better stats with the profits, maybe even brought in a hopeful Regen or Reserve to replace him, but otherwise a very good read and good luck for the next following seasons

Hi mate, I was very tempted to sell him! As I got better attackers than him but he seems to be very happy at the club and always in the starting XI so I will let him stay.

John Liew has also guided St. Pats to a 3rd consecutive Irish Senior Challenge Cup and also added Irish Presidents Cup and Leinster Senior Cup.

The board expects the team to once again challenge for the title for the upcoming 2019 season.

A foreign investor has also invested about 3 million euros into the club.

John Liew now will have to decide how to spend these money.

John Liew have decided to offer his current star players (e.g. Les Desmond and Keith Treacy) better wages in their contracts to stop English clubs from trying to sign them.

John Liew have also expanded the stadium capacity from 5,400 to 8,500 to accommodate fans.

After releasing 4 fringe players from previous season, John Liew has sign Lloyd Buckley from TNS, Dylan Connolly from Bray Wanderers and promoted Joe McGroary from the youth system.

Well done

what is your Tactic?

I use default formation and tactics.

I change who is the captain and vice captain for the season, penalty kick taker and corner taker for each game.

I also ensure each player is playing in their preferred position and role.

Hope that helps!

After some heavy investment into the club before the 2019 season, John Liew has comfortably beaten last 2 seasons league runners up Cork City to claim a 2nd successive Irish Presidents Cup.

Chris Fagan scored a goal and got man of the match award.

After a trophy laiden 3 years at St. Patrick's Athletic, John Liew cannot believe Colombia national team have offered him the managerial role.

It was a chance that John Liew simply could not turn down considering that he was unemployed when he first started his managerial reign back in 2016.

John Liew has offered his resignation with very deep regrets at St. Patrick's Athletic as he needs to focus on Colombia to reaching their target in the Copa America.

But with no national team experience, can John Liew guide Colombia into the semi finals of 2019 Copa America?

We will see...

I underrated him actually. Unfortunately you won't find a lot of 3-3.5 star PA players at the start of the game. Kepp your eyes peeled for Keane's regen ;)

I actually signed Robbie Keane in my 2nd season in charge of St. Pats but he wasn't my first choice centre forward so released him
