Vibe win first match!

FMHVibe Rovers have won their first ever football match, by defeating Burnley 2-1 away from home.

Martin Paterson opened the scoring on 27 minutes, but just 2 minutes later, Wolfenden hit a superb cross which was met by the head of Spencer who directed it home, Vibe had their first ever goal. It was stil 1-1 at half time, but on 87 minutes, Sunny Lin hit a long ball up to Spencer who knocked it down for Wolfenden who let fly from 30 yards, and the ball rocketed in to the top corner, Vibe had won! The future looks bright for this team, and if Wolfenden and Spencer become a great duo like they were today, who knows what the future holds!

Battle of the Rovers

After a win and a loss in pre-season, FMHVibe Rovers came into the first match of the season with high spirits. With captain Dec Barry still injured, they faced a very tough challenge against former League 1 side, Bristol Rovers. Bristol would have expected to win easily as they are promotion favourites.

The Line Up:

O'Connor

Lin Stenson Ray Hardy

Madkour

Nethercott Almond

Clark

Spencer Wolfenden

Vibe got off to a great start when Nethercott prodded home Madkours fine cross after 15 minutes. Bristol hit back just 9 minutes later when Kuffours shot deflected of Mark Wright to equalize, there was a suspicion of offside but the referee didn't notice. It was looking like it was going to be 1-1 at half time, but in stepped Josh Wolfenden to score a 1 on 1 after Nethercott's fine through ball. Vibe brought on Scott C for Sunny Lin after Lin was booked, they also brought on Matt Wright for Stenson. Vibe held on for a priceless win which puts them 7th after one game. Captain Barry should be back for the next game.

MoM: Jack Nethercott

Bristol 1-2 Vibe

Next Match: Home - Carling Cup - Charlton Athletic.
